The latest generation Nissan X-Trail was launched by the company in India back in 2024 with a price tag of Rs 49.9 lakh. Now, due to this super expensive tag and not being able to justify it to the prospective buyers, Nissan was left with a lot of unsold inventory despite bringing only 150 units for the entire country. As a result, Big Boy Toyz, a premium used car dealer, managed to get these cars at a discounted rate, and it is now left with only 12 more X-Trails in their stock.

The video showing the few remaining units of the Nissan X-Trail SUV has been shared on YouTube by Big Boy Toyz on their channel. It starts off with the host introducing the Nissan X-Trail and mentioning that Nissan brought only 150 units of this SUV to India back in 2024 when it was launched.

Now, being a CBU car with a high price tag, Nissan did not sell a lot of units. So, Big Boy Toyz earlier this year managed to negotiate a deal with Nissan India for the price restructure and was able to buy a total of 96 units of this SUV, following which BBT has sold almost all of them. The host then announced that they currently have the last 12 units of the X-Trails, and they will also be sold quickly.

He then mentions that if someone is interested, they can get their hands on a CBU SUV which offers a very superior quality build. The presenter also highlights that they received Diamond Black and Pearl White colored X-Trails. However, now they only have white units available.

As mentioned above, Nissan launched the X-Trail at a price of Rs 49.9 lakh. At the time, a lot of people complained that the price of this SUV was too high, and due to this pricing, Nissan could not sell a lot of units. Currently, Big Boy Toyz is offering unregistered Nissan X-Trails at Rs 29.9 lakh, which is a steep Rs 20 lakh discount from the original price.

The Nissan X-Trail comes equipped with a small 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is capable of producing 160 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. It is the first SUV to get the variable compression turbo technology, due to which it offers better fuel efficiency and also power depending on the driver’s input.

In terms of features, it comes equipped with LED headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch fully digital driver’s display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a panoramic sunroof. It also gets a wireless phone charger, dual-zone climate control, paddle shifters, and sliding and reclining 2nd-row seats.

As for safety, it gets seven airbags, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, rain-sensing wipers, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera. The Nissan X-Trail rivals the mighty Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian, and a few others.

Should you buy the Nissan X-Trail at Rs 20 lakh discount?

If we look at the Nissan X-Trail at the Rs 29.9 lakh price tag, it now seems like a decent value-for-money vehicle. For the same price, currently there are Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700 on offer. Although it has to be noted that they offer a lot more features than the X-Trail, they are still slightly less premium than the X-Trail.
