Local Car Enthusiasts Hold Luxury Car Rally In Pahalgam To Win Trust Of Tourists [Video]
The recent horrible terrorist attack which took place in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, and claimed the lives of 26 innocent people has shaken the entire country. As a result of this attack, the economy of this beautiful yet dangerous state has taken a big hit as tourists now do not want to visit and stay. So now, in order to help the local people and businesses of Pahalgam, recently a luxury car rally was organised by local residents of the town. It is an attempt by these people to try and win back the trust of tourists and help the local economy.
This video showing the luxury car rally organised by local Kashmiri residents to promote tourism in Pahalgam has been shared on X by ANI on their page. In this short video, we can note that there are around 12-15 luxury cars which have been pasted with posters stating, “United Against Terrorism Pahalgam #PeopleofKashmir.”
These luxury cars include a blue-colored F80 BMW M3 sedan, a few F10 generation BMW 5-Series with aftermarket alloy wheels and bonnets and other modifications. There is also a hot pink color-wrapped Audi A6 with aftermarket alloy wheels and a ski box on top. Additionally, there is a BMW 3-Series Convertible, Toyota Hilux, and a Hyundai Creta along with a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG.
What did the owners of these cars say?
After showing the luxury cars on the streets of Pahalgam, one of the car owners was interviewed and asked about the agenda of this luxury car rally. To this, he explained that they are local people of Kashmir and want to help the local economy by trying to send the message that the locals do not support terrorism.
He added that currently the economy of Jammu and Kashmir has been hit hard and will see more repercussions in the coming time. So, to try and help the local businesses, they wanted to show that tourists are welcome and they should not feel worried about the safety in Pahalgam.
When asked more about this rally and its cars, the person replied that there are around 12-15 cars and they belong to a car club by the name of Coffee By Cars and are from Srinagar. Following this, he added that with the medium of such cars, they want to grab the attention of people to promote the tourism of Pahalgam.
Will this rally help Pahalgam?
Presently, it seems like this rally has helped in grabbing the eyeballs of people across the country towards Pahalgam for a positive reason. However, it is still believed that it will take a lot more time for tourists to be able to get the courage to visit Jammu and Kashmir, especially Pahalgam after this recent terrorist attack. Until that happens, the local businesses will and are currently seeing major loss of revenue, and this will overall affect the state's economy in the near future.
Actor Atul Kulkarni visits Pahalgam
Recently, the “Rang De Basanti” movie star Atul Kulkarni, in order to help locals of Pahalgam in restoring trust, visited the town. During an interview, he stated, “The incident that took place on 22nd April has made the entire country sad... I read that 90% of bookings have been cancelled here. The message that the terrorists are giving is not to come to Kashmir. This is not going to happen.”
