We are getting reports of heavy rains from different parts of the country. Stockyards of many manufacturers and dealerships are actually affected due to this rain. Most of them go for large open grounds so that they can store the maximum number of vehicles at a time. Here we have a video from one such stockyard where a Mahindra BE6 electric SUV gets stuck in mud and is rescued by a Mahindra Thar Roxx.

The video has been shared by Mahindra Lover 8085 on their YouTube channel. The exact location of this stockyard is not known. In the video, we see a Mahindra BE6 electric SUV stuck in mud at the stockyard. It looks like the low-lying area of the ground had become slushy because of the rains.

The Mahindra BE6 is a powerful SUV, in fact one of the most powerful in Mahindra’s entire lineup, but that power was of no use. While trying to get the SUV out, the BE6 got stuck in mud and despite several attempts, the electric SUV wasn’t coming out.

The reason why it got stuck is because of multiple factors. The BE6 is an RWD vehicle. All the power is sent to the rear wheels and this, along with the low-resistance tyres, led to this result. Once the BE6 got stuck in the sticky mud, the SUV was not getting out of the situation as it didn’t have ample traction.

That is when the Mahindra Thar Roxx came into the picture. This was another car from the stockyard. It looks like both these vehicles were being taken to the dealership for delivery. The stockyard staff noticed the BE6 stuck in mud and decided to help. The driver of the BE6 got out and tied a rope to the tow hook at the front of the BE6. The rope was tied to the rear of the Thar Roxx.

Initially, they tried pulling the BE6, but since the Roxx was not a 4x4 either, it was also finding it difficult to get grip. After trying several times, they realised that the BE6 was not coming out this way. So they turned the Mahindra Thar Roxx around. They tied the rope from the front and slowly started pulling the electric SUV out. The Thar Roxx pulls out not one but two BE6 SUVs stuck in the same manner

This video shows why it is important to have AWD or 4x4 in such situations. If any one of these SUVs had 4x4, things would have been different. The Thar Roxx would have pulled the BE6 out in its first attempt. The BE6, on the other hand, might not have got stuck in the first place if it had AWD. It might have actually got out of the situation on its own.

Mahindra is currently working on the AWD version of the BE6 and the same has been spotted testing on several occasions. It is based on the Rall.e concept that Mahindra showcased some time back. The BE6 Rall.e-based electric SUV is expected to be launched in the market soon. Mahindra is also working on a bunch of other new products which include both ICE and EVs.
