Buy This EV, Get Closer To London: How Mahindra’s BE 6 Formula E Edition Puts Fans On The Grid

Imagine this. It is August 2026 and you are at London’s ExCeL, watching Formula E cars race in the season finale. Your paddock pass and your view of a Mahindra Racing car carrying your name exist because a few months earlier you booked an electric SUV at home. That is the idea behind Mahindra’s BE 6 Formula E Edition launch campaign: buy a serious EV and you also get a shot at standing trackside in London.
The BE 6 Formula E Edition is a special version of Mahindra’s born electric mid-size SUV. The FE2 variant is priced at ₹23.69 lakh and the higher spec FE3 at ₹24.49 lakh. Bookings open on 14 January 2026 and deliveries start from 14 February 2026, so this is a near term launch.
The first 999 customers get more than just a car. Each one gets a track day at Mahindra’s proving ground with racer Kush Maini, a collector’s box of Mahindra Racing memorabilia and a chosen number between 0 and 99 as a decal on their SUV. Those 999 owners will also see their first names printed on the Mahindra Formula E race car that will compete at the London E Prix.
From that pool, three customers win the full London package. The prize includes race tickets, paddock access at the ExCeL circuit and a meet and greet with the Mahindra Racing crew and the Mahindra design team. It is a one in 333 chance at a serious motorsport weekend, bundled with a limited run EV.
Mahindra has been on the Formula E grid since the first season in 2014 and remains the only Indian manufacturer in the championship, with race wins, multiple podiums and a commitment to stay through the Gen4 era till at least 2030. The programme forces the team to chase efficiency, cooling and control software for the M9Electro race car, and the same engineers and tools now work on road going models such as the BE 6.
Under the special paint, the BE 6 Formula E Edition is still a practical family EV. Built on Mahindra’s INGLO skateboard platform, the Formula E Edition uses the 79-kWh battery pack with rear wheel drive and a single motor with up to 282 bhp and 380 Nm. The MIDC range is up to 653 km on a charge, with real world driving expected to clear 500 km.
For the Formula E Edition, Mahindra keeps that base and dials up the performance flavour. Using the 79-kWh pack and a 210-kW motor, the BE 6 FE does 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and tops out at about 202 km/h. DC fast charging at up to 180 kW means a 20 to 80 per cent top up in around twenty minutes at a suitable charger, and a five-star Bharat NCAP rating covers the safety side.
Styling and cabin changes lean into the racing story. Outside, you get a more aggressive bumper, extra cladding, bright orange brake callipers, motorsport graphics, twin roof spoilers and Formula E badging. Inside, orange highlights, Formula E logos on the dashboard and seats, FIA branding on the seat belts and a start button under a flip up flap create a cockpit style feel. Dual 12.3-inch screens, a Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos, 5G connectivity, wireless phone integration and one pedal driving with multi stage regeneration round off the tech package.
Put together, the motorsport themed styling and the London contest make this edition more than just decals. If you were already considering a BE 6, the Formula E Edition adds a rare chance to get closer to Mahindra’s Formula E story and potentially watch the season finale from the paddock at ExCeL in August 2026.
