Mahindra launched the BE6 electric SUV in November last year. Today, it is quite popular among Indian EV buyers. The BE6 stands unique with its styling, interior design, features, and the sheer driving experience. How would it feel to drive the BE6 on Kerala roads on a rainy day? If you’ve had this question, here’s a video that gives you an immersive experience of the same. Shared on the channel RevLimits, this 23-minute video is in the POV (Point Of View) format.

Driving BE6 On Kerala Roads: POV Experience

Watch on YouTube

The POV format is becoming increasingly popular among people who consume video content on platforms like YouTube, Tiktok, and Instagram. POV videos often rack up tens of thousands of views online. The biggest advantage of this format is that it puts the viewer directly in the shoes of the person filming and rewards them with exactly the same view as the creator. Viewers then feel like they are inside the video and get a truly immersive experience.

The video opens by showing the BE6 parked by a street in Kochi, Kerala. It is finished in the Stealth Black shade. BE6 buyers can choose from a total of eight colour options. The vehicle here is the top-spec Pack THREE variant with the 79kWh battery pack. It now has an ex-showroom price of Rs 26.90 lakh in India.

The host first gives a full 360-degree view of the car. The Black colour goes well with the coupe-like styling of BE6. The illuminated BE logo on the bootlid looks striking. The video uses captions to communicate the host’s impressions of the vehicle. He says that the Black colour is indeed stylish, but also gathers dust and dirt, especially in the rains.

Cabin, Features And ASMR!

Later, we see the interior design and trims used in the cabin. This video has captured ASMR sounds from the car, its interior and various features. From the sound with which the doors shut to the various chimes and jingles- we can hear everything, and these are all great to listen to! The host gives his impressions of the steering feel, feature list and more.

He says that the steering wheel feels nice to hold and is quite light and easy to operate. The BE6 is underpinned by the new-age INGLO skateboard platform. This EV offers variable gear ratios for the electric power steering. This means that the feel, feedback and responsiveness of the steering vary with speed and the drive mode selected. This EV offers four modes- Default, Range, Everyday, and Race.

The clip gives a detailed video tour of the BE6’s long list of features. The two 12.3-inch floating displays, panoramic glass roof, aircraft-styled switches and shifter, 360-degree camera, level 2 ADAS, sleek air conditioning vents, ambient lighting, and electronic parking brake, can all be seen in detail. We can also see how the EV’s buttons and controls look and feel with their clicks.

The host then hops out and shows the frunk capacity. This electric SUV comes with a 45-litre frunk that can be used to store its charger and cables. The video shows the rear seat experience as well.

Driving BE6 In Kochi: POV Experience!

Later the host takes the EV for a spin. The BE6 shown here (Pack Three 79) comes with a rear axle-mounted electric motor that produces 282 hp and 380Nm. The 79kWh battery pack has a claimed range of 682km per charge.

The host drives it through some scenic roads in Kochi. He initially drives it on a deserted, well-paved road and then takes it to crowded main road. He accelerates on open stretches and drives through different road and traffic conditions.

All these are captured in POV format and thus give us an immersive experience. More than 12 minutes of pure POV visuals of driving the BE6 on Kerala roads can be seen in the video. Midway through this, it starts to rain, further elevating the experience for viewers. Almost all possible scenarios can be seen in this video, including the ABS kicking in at some point!
