Mahindra last week announced that they will be announcing an all-new SUV platform on August 15 this year. This new platform is called New Flexible Architecture (NFA) and this monocoque platform is likely to be used in the upcoming Bolero too. While we don’t have a confirmation on what the SUV is going to be like, here we have a video by a render artist who is imagining what the the next-generation Bolero could look like.

The video has been shared by SRK Designs on their YouTube channel. In this video the artist has reimagined the next-generation Bolero SUV. The Bolero is one of the oldest models on sale in Mahindra’s line up and it has still decent appeal among customers from rural and semi-urban markets. Its utilitarian design and practicality with less features is probably what makes it appealing.

For those who want slight more feature rich version of Bolero, Mahindra is selling the Bolero Neo. The vlogger here has reimagined the next-generation Bolero based on the Neo. The front nose of the SUV is upright with the new Mahindra logo in the center.

There are vertical chrome slats on the grille and the bumper is finished in two-tone. The lower portion gets cladding and the cladding runs around the vehicle giving it a rugged appeal. The headlamps on the Bolero concept seen here are revised version of what we see in the Bolero Neo.

They are sleeker and stretched to the side for a premium appeal. The fog lamps are on the bumper and we also see a prominent character line on the bonnet adding muscularity.

The SUV gets squared wheel arch with chunky tyres. The boxy design of the SUV is retained and we also see the blacked out large ORVMs, flap type door handles, basic looking alloy wheels, foot board, roof rails and so on. The SUV also gets a floating type roof design like many modern SUVs.

The video doesn’t show the rear of the car but, it is pretty evident that the rear profile of the SUV is also redesigned and it comes with a new set of tail lamps. It should be noted that this is just a render and the artist has simply used his imagination to guess what the SUV could look like.

We are expecting that Mahindra might showcase the concept of the upcoming SUV on Independence day this year. As mentioned above, Mahindra will be showcasing the new platform which is currently being called New Flexible Architecture (NFA).

This platform is called flexible as it can be utilised on petrol, diesel, hybrid and all-electric powertrains. Mahindra has announced that in the calendar year 2026, they will be launching the new generation Bolero.

As this next-generation Bolero is likely to use the NFA platform, it won’t be wrong to assume that Mahindra might bring in an electric version of the Bolero in the market. Apart from the Bolero, Mahindra will also be launching facelifts of two existing models in the market.
