Mahindra Board President Vinod Sahay Buys His First Electric SUV - A Brand New XEV 9E
Currently, the Mahindra XEV 9E and BE 6 are the most popular electric SUVs in India. The company recently started delivering these vehicles to awaiting customers, and among them, there are a number of people who are very popular. Recently, Vinod Sahay, who is the President and Member of the Mahindra Group Executive Board, also took delivery of his brand-new Mahindra XEV 9E with his wife.
Vinod Sahay's Mahindra XEV 9E Delivery
The images showing the delivery of the Mahindra XEV 9E electric SUV to Mahindra Group Executive Board President Vinod Sahay have been shared on X by him. In the images, he can be seen being handed a bouquet and keys to his all-new XEV 9E electric SUV. Along with him, his wife was also present, and she posed with their all-new Stealth Black XEV 9E.
For those who may not be aware, Vinod Sahay is also the Chairman of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry on Defense & Homeland Security. This committee focuses on promoting "Atmanirbhar Bharat" (self-reliant India) in defense, encouraging industry participation. Sahay joined Mahindra back in 2015 as the COO of Mahindra Two-Wheelers Limited.
In his post, Sahay highlighted that the XEV 9E is his first electric car. He added that the XEV 9E and BE 6 make him proud because he and his sourcing team helped bring these cars to life. Sahay stated, “The XEV 9E & BE 6 are a testament to Mahindra's innovative spirit, featuring cutting-edge technologies sourced from global supplier partners, breathtaking design, and world-class engineering.”
Pawan Goenka Also Bought an XEV 9E
Apart from Vinod Sahay, recently, Dr. Pawan Goenka, Chairman of INSPACE, a part of India's Space Program, also took delivery of his Mahindra XEV 9E. He also used to serve as the Managing Director of Mahindra and Mahindra Group. He has chosen the Desert Myst shade for his electric SUV.
In addition to these bureaucrats, popular Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap and superstar Ajay Devgn’s nephew, Danish Devgn, have also bought a Mahindra XEV 9E. They both have chosen the classy shade of Stealth Black for his electric SUV. The same color has also been chosen by Bollywood .
Mahindra XEV 9E
The Mahindra XEV 9E is the brand's coupe EV SUV, which starts at ₹21.9 lakh. It comes with two battery pack options. The lower trims get a 59 kWh battery pack, while the higher versions get a 79 kWh battery. The smaller battery version generates 228 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque, offering a claimed range of 542 km.
As for the bigger 79 kWh variant, it generates 282 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque, with a claimed range of 656 km. This SUV comes loaded with features such as a 10.25-inch triple-screen layout. It also gets VisionX Augmented Reality HUD, MAIA (Mahindra Artificial Intelligence Architecture), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor, 24 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of internal storage.
In terms of safety features, the XEV 9E comes with seven airbags, Level 2+ ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and more. Other notable features include leatherette upholstery with seat ventilation, electrically adjustable seats, an infinity glass roof with dynamic lights, and multi-zone climate control.
