This video, showing the 9,00,000 km Mahindra Scorpio pickup truck, has been shared on YouTube by Mahindra Australia on their official channel. It starts off with service managers from a Mahindra dealership in Australia. One of them mentions that today they will be servicing a Scorpio pickup truck, which is also called the Mahindra Ute in their country.

He states that this particular car is part of a fleet of five Mahindra Scorpio pickups owned by one of their clients, Valley Express. This company owns a total of five Mahindra Scorpio pickups. Of these, four are single-cab Utes, and one is a dual-cab Ute. After this introduction, he mentions that this particular vehicle, along with the others, was delivered to their client back in 2022.

Following the introduction, the service manager highlights that these vehicles have been going strong even after being driven for so long. The video then shows the owner of the company that owns these Scorpio pickups. She states that her father suggested she look at the Mahindra pickups. After this, she mentions that these trucks have two-thirds the operating costs compared to others.

The manager then shows one of the fleet’s highest-mileage Scorpio pickups, which has 9,04,828 km. He highlights that, over the years, these vehicles have proved their bulletproof reliability. As per the manager, some of the vehicles have required a few replacement genuine Mahindra parts. However, most of their major components have remained intact.

He highlights that they have changed the gearbox on this particular truck and have also replaced an alternator. He added that, along with these, they changed the rear differential of the trucks, but that was done as a preventive measure to avoid any breakdowns in the future.

The manager also stated that the interior quality of the Mahindra Scorpio pickups is very good. He adds that, as the vehicles were delivered with seat covers, the seats have held up, and the only thing in the interior that they have changed is a window switch.

He states that regular maintenance parts like oils, oil filters, and air filters are replaced during scheduled services.

Maintenance is the key

Coming to the main reason behind the success of these Mahindra Scorpio pickup trucks, the service manager mentions that, over the years, their client Valley Express has cooperated with them for regular servicing of these vehicles. He highlights that they always bring the vehicles on time for their scheduled services and only replace the parts that need replacing.

They do not under-service or over-service their vehicles, thus keeping the costs in check. Additionally, one of the very important points is performing preventive maintenance. Finally, he highlights that they use genuine Mahindra spare parts, which makes the process even more seamless and ensures that the vehicles can be kept in service for many more years.
