Mahindra Thar Roxx Tries To Jump Divider: Gets Royally Stuck
A number of SUV owners who own a 4X2 rear-wheel drive SUV think that they can get away with trying things that only a true off-roader should try. As a result of this overconfidence, most such 4X2 SUV owners get royally stuck and have to be rescued. This time around, a video of a Mahindra Thar ROXX 4X2 getting stuck on a wide highway divider has been shared online. It shows that this SUV could not cross the divider due to its lack of a 4X4 system.
4X2 Thar ROXX stuck on divider
This video of the Mahindra Thar ROXX 4X2 not being able to cross a divider has been shared on YouTube by Branded Vlogs on their channel. It starts off with a few men trying to stop the traffic on a highway where a black Thar ROXX was in the left lane. We can note that the driver, after finding a gap, immediately drove his SUV onto the divider to cross it.
As can be seen, the Thar ROXX was quick to step over the divider curb, and the driver stopped it after stepping over due to a truck coming from the other side. Following this, he continued trying to fully take his vehicle onto the divider. However, he had to turn the steering wheel a few times to properly get on the divider.
Finally, when he was able to get over it, the video shows that this SUV’s rear right wheel got stuck on the grass and was spinning in the same place. Most likely, the mud was wet and could not handle the weight of the Thar ROXX. Due to the tyres spinning, a pothole was created. We can note that the driver was trying his best to accelerate and get off the divider, but he was unable to do so.
Never ever do this stupidity
Before going into the details of how this Thar ROXX got stuck, it has to be mentioned that such stupid stunts of crossing a divider on a highway should never be done. Generally, a lot of people on highways try to save the drive till the next U-turn. However, it has to be noted that a lot of times such stupid maneuvers can cause horrific accidents, which have been shared here on Cartoq before.
Why did the Thar ROXX get stuck?
The main reason why this SUV got stuck on the grass of the divider is the absence of the 4X4 system. Many owners think that as their SUV has high ground clearance, it can go over anything. Unfortunately, this is not at all true. A vehicle can only drive over terrains like mud and grass, in this case, when it has a proper 4X4 system that can send power to all four wheels.
In this case, the rear right wheel got stuck and started spinning in the same place. Now, if this SUV had a 4X4 system, it would have been able to use the power sent to the front wheels to cross the divider. In more serious conditions, the low-range gearbox and locking differentials also help in overcoming more difficult obstacles.
Thar stuck on divider rescued by crane
This is not the first time that we have seen a Mahindra stuck on a divider. A little while ago, a video of a modified Thar three-door being stuck on a divider in the middle of a busy road was shared online. What happened was that this particular SUV had to be rescued by a crane, which picked it up and got it off the divider.
