Thar ROXX 4X4 Rescues Mahindra SUVs Stuck In Slushy Stockyard (Video)
Mahindra has started official bookings for the all-new Thar Roxx across the nation. Just like other Mahindra products in the past, the all-new Mahindra Thar Roxx also received an overwhelming response from buyers. In fact, it has received over 1.76 lakh bookings in just one hour. Production of Thar Roxx has already started and the same has started arriving at the dealerships too. Here we have a video that shows how a Mahindra Thar Roxx 4×4 variant rescues other Mahindra SUVs stuck in a dealer stockyard.
The video has been shared by Motorcraze on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger is at a dealer stockyard somewhere in Maharashtra. Due to heavy rain, the surface has become extremely slippery and 2WD SUVs from Mahindra are finidng it difficult to come out. The dealership even tried pulling out a stuck Mahindra Scorpio Classic using an old generation Scorpio but, things didn’t go as per plan.
They finally had to bring in a Mahindra Thar Roxx 4×4. The SUV first pulled out the Mahindra Scorpio which came to rescue the Scorpio Classic. The recovery vehicle had a flat tyre and was pulled out by the Thar Roxx. The staff initially tried to pull the SUV out in 2WD mode but, the slippery surface was making things difficult.
After this, the driver engaged the 4H in Thar Roxx and the SUV simply pulled the Scorpio out. After this, the Roxx was tied to a brand new Scorpio Classic. The Thar Roxx pulled out couple of Scorpio Classics from the yard effortlessly. The vlogger keeps on talking about the performance of the SUV in this video.
After this, a Mahindra XUV700 also has difficulty in coming out from the yard. The front wheel drive SUV’s driver side front tyre was getting stuck in slush and it was unable to pull itself out. Once again, Mahindra Thar Roxx became the saviour and pulled the SUV out.
How Did Thar Roxx perform?
It is a 4×4 SUV and Thar Roxx performed efforlessly in this case. We did see the wheels spin freely in couple of cases but, once it gained the traction, the SUV managed to pull out the SUVs. Another reason why Thar Roxx performed well in this situation was because of the tyres. Tyres play a crucial role in such situations.
All other SUVs seen in this video come with HT tyres which is suitable for highways and road conditions. However, the Thar Roxx comes with AT tyres which is suitable for both on and off the road. This gives the SUV flexibility to perform well in any given situations. Mahindra Thar is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version uses a 2.0 litre mStallion turbo engine while the diesel version uses a 2.2 litre mHawk turbocharged unit.
Both petrol and diesel engine options are available with manual and automatic transmissions. However, only diesel engine option gets the 4×4 feature. The price for Mahindra Thar Roxx starts at Rs 12.99 lakh, ex-showroom and goes all the way till Rs 22.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
