Mahindra Thar ROXX Transformed Into 'Akhanda ROXX' For Balakrishna's Upcoming Film [Video]

The Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna, who is also the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh, will be next seen in the upcoming “Akhanda 2,” which will be released on December 5th this year. Now, just before the official launch of the movie, recently its director Boyapati Srinu, along with other cast members, was seen launching the “Akhanda ROXX,” the lead car of the movie, which is based on the Mahindra Thar ROXX.
The videos showing the unveiling of the Akhanda ROXX have been shared on Instagram. In the video, Boyapati Srinu, along with the designer of this unique Mahindra Thar ROXX, can be seen unveiling the car. A number of media personnel attended the event and covered the unveiling event. The vehicle was covered with a red cloth and was standing on a turntable, which showed it from all angles.
This particular Mahindra Thar ROXX, which has been named Akhanda ROXX, has been designed specifically for Nandamuri Balakrishna. It has been built by XDrive, and its complete concept, look, and design have been done by X Studios. The lead designer Amar completed the design in just four days, and over 10 other vehicles have been specially designed for the movie.
From the videos and the images, we can note that the Akhanda ROXX has been given a completely redesigned exterior. The front of this SUV gets a brand-new grille with a golden lion logo in the middle, new LED headlights with blue-colored LED DRLs, and additional lights and circular DRLs on the front fenders. The front bumper is also new and most likely made of metal.
Moving to the side profile, the main highlight is the extended fenders. These fenders have been enlarged to accommodate the bigger all-terrain tyres and multispoke alloy wheels finished in golden color. Additionally, the front windshield frame and other parts of the side profile have been given golden borders, adding to the unique appearance.
On the doors, we can note that new deployable footrests have been added on both front and rear. Additionally, there is a Land Rover Defender–style stair on the left side of this SUV as well. As for the rear, it gets a set of brand-new LED taillights, which look very similar to the ones seen on the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Lastly, it also gets a roof spoiler with additional LED lights on top.
Commenting on the launch of the Akhanda ROXX, director Boyapati Srinu stated, “Thank you to all the fans who came to today’s vehicle launch event. In the video you just saw, there are about ten vehicles specially designed for my film. Amar designs wonderfully. He worked day and night to create this vehicle you’re seeing now. He deserves to be congratulated for that. You will understand how brilliantly this vehicle is used in action when you see it in theatres.”
He added, “You will feel very proud when you see it on screen. If a powerful character emerges, there must be an object to match it. The more powerful the character, the more powerful this vehicle will be. Thanks to Amar for designing this vehicle wonderfully in a very short time, just as we wanted. The event was conducted beautifully. ‘Akhanda 2’ will be released on December 5.”
