Mahindra Thar Roxx Driver Hits Scooter Rider: Reverses And Hits Him Again [Video]
Most people today agree that Mahindra Thar drivers are some of the worst drivers in the country. It seems like almost every day we see a Thar driver getting involved in an incident. In most cases, they are the ones who do rash driving and cause accidents. Once again, we have another incident involving a Mahindra Thar ROXX. This time around, the driver was seen attempting to run over a scooter rider in broad daylight.
Mahindra Thar ROXX hits scooter rider
This video showing a Mahindra Thar ROXX driver almost running over a scooter rider has been shared on Reddit. As per the reports, this particular incident took place in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu City, Jammu and Kashmir. It starts off with a white-colored Hyundai Alcazar SUV driving on the left side of the road.
Soon after this, what happens is a Mahindra Thar ROXX tries to overtake this Alcazar on the single-lane road. However, this particular driver failed to note that a person on a Honda Activa was coming from the other side. Fortunately, the scooter rider did not completely collide with the Thar ROXX. But we can note that as he came in contact with the SUV, he fell on the road.
Thar ROXX driver almost runs over the elderly man
Following which, he then stood up and was looking toward the direction in which the Thar ROXX went, and just after that, something shocking happens. We can note that instead of stopping his vehicle on the side of the road and coming to check on the man who had fallen on the road, this idiot and reckless Thar ROXX driver reversed his vehicle onto the man who was standing beside his fallen scooter.
We can note that he hit the man with such an impact that he fell down a few meters away from his scooter. Speaking of the scooter, it was also hit by the Thar ROXX while it was being reversed. What makes this situation even more terrible is that the Thar ROXX driver came out of the vehicle and stood in front of the fallen man.
However, instead of picking him up and helping him, he just looked at him and then left the spot. The same video has also attached the footage of the same incident from a different CCTV camera. In this clip, we can note that the Thar ROXX driver can be seen hitting the scooter rider in a cruel manner.
Thar owner detained
It has been reported that the owner of this particular Mahindra Thar ROXX has been detained and the vehicle has been seized. Jammu Police via its X handle stated, "Following the Thar-scooty collision near Green Belt Park,Gandhi Nagar on 27.07.2025, Police have invoked Sec 109 BNS after eyewitnesses revealed deliberate intent to harm. The Thar was seized,its owner detained & hunt is on to nab the absconding driver. Investigation continues."
Why did the Thar ROXX driver hit the scooter rider?
At the moment, there is no clarity on the exact reason why the Mahindra Thar ROXX driver hit the scooter rider by reversing his vehicle. Now, from our observation, we think there could be three possible reasons. The first could be that this particular driver is a psychopath. We say this because most people who get involved in an accident once would not come back and hit the victim again.
This is psychopathic behaviour, and this is extremely dangerous because if he did not stop in time, he would have killed the scooter rider by running over him. Another possibility is that the driver is a rich and influential person with a lot of power to get away with crimes. Sometimes such people think that they can commit crimes and get away from the consequences due to their connections and money.
Lastly, the most unlikely option is that the Thar ROXX driver panicked after hitting the scooter rider the first time. Sometimes people who get involved in accidents do things after panicking, like suddenly accelerating or braking or other things. But in this case, even if the driver was panicked, he would have helped the fallen scooter rider, which he did not. So at the moment, what exactly was the motive behind this is unknown.
