India’s First Mahindra Thar Roxx To Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Conversion Is Here [Video]

Mahindra Automotive has designed a lot of things differently in its newest launch, the Thar Roxx, to differentiate it from the Jeep Rubicon. However, the buyers of this SUV in India are making different modifications to make it look just like the Wrangler Rubicon, which costs more than four times the price. Recently, a video showing a very elaborate conversion of a Mahindra Thar Roxx into a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon has been shared online.

Thar Roxx Converted to Jeep Rubicon

This video of the Thar Roxx’s conversion has been shared on Instagram by Paris Chopra on their page. It starts with the introduction by the video creator. He mentions that this is currently the one and only Mahindra Thar Roxx that has been fully converted into a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Following this, he starts listing all the mods.

At the front, this particular Thar Roxx has been given an original Jeep Wrangler Rubicon front bumper. This bumper replaces the stock bumper, which has a more boxy design. Two LED projector fog lights have also been added to this bumper to increase the lighting efficiency of this vehicle.

Next up, the creator states that they have also added the original Jeep Wrangler Rubicon’s extended fenders. These fenders add width to the Thar Roxx, which the Rubicon comes with. Also, at the front and on these fenders, LED lights from Light Force have been added, which alone cost around Rs 30,000.

Following this, the video shows another one of the main highlights of this conversion project, which are the alloy wheels. It gets genuine Jeep Wrangler Rubicon’s 17-inch alloy wheels. Also, to increase the off-roading capabilities of this SUV, the shop has added Yokohama Geolander all-terrain tyres.

After this, the vlogger moves to the rear of the car and shows the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon-styled LED taillights. Overall, from the outside, this particular Thar Roxx looks very close to the original Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

Interior Modifications

In the same video, the interior modifications done on this vehicle are also shown. The creator mentions that the doors and the dashboard get ambient lighting. Additionally, it also gets Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen-styled AC vents with ambient lights as well.

Lastly, he mentions that all-black leather seat covers have been added to this vehicle as well. Mahindra offers this Thar Roxx with a complete white interior, which, although it makes the cabin feel spacious, is very hard to maintain as it gets stained extremely quickly. So many Thar Roxx owners are adding seat covers to avoid spoiling the white seats.

Another Thar Roxx That Tried to Look Like a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon

Just a few weeks ago, another video was shared online in which a Thar Roxx was given a modification that attempted to make it look like a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. As we all know, the Thar Roxx gets a weird-looking triangular rear quarter glass.

So, in order to change this design and make it look like a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, an owner took it to a wrap shop. What he then asked them to do was to add a piece of black PPF on top of the rear quarter panel to make it look like the Jeep SUV. And surprisingly, the result was good, and it did cover up the ugly triangular rear quarter glass.
