The Mahindra Thar Roxx is currently the hottest talk of the town, and people are queuing to buy this SUV. A lot of buyers who have received their Thar Roxx have even started modifying this SUV as well. Now, apart from regular mods like wheels, lights, and a few other things, not much can be changed on this vehicle. However, recently, imagining the Thar Roxx as the iconic Mahindra FC (Forward Control) van, a few renderings have been shared online.

These image renderings of the Mahindra Thar Roxx as an FC van have been shared on Instagram. It comes courtesy of Bimble Design. For this rendering, the creator has taken inspiration from the old Forward Control van, which Mahindra used to make back in the 1990s. These were licensed from the American automaker Jeep.

Mahindra Thar Reimagined as FC Van

Starting at the front, the creator of this rendering has given it a very unique look. He has retained the elements of the new Thar Roxx like the front bumper, grille, and LED headlights. He has then incorporated them with a flat front fascia, which most vans come with.

We can also note that a ton of other modifications have been added as well, which add to the uniqueness of this vehicle. On top, there is a massive light bar. Meanwhile, the front looks very aggressive thanks to the lifted suspension and massive BF Goodrich mud-terrain tyres.

Moving on to the side profile, we can note that the artist has given it a van shape by adding the front cabin in place of the bonnet. Interestingly, there is no door for the driver to enter the vehicle. However, there is the Thar badging on the right side. We note that the door has been added in the middle of the vehicle.

As for the rear end, it has been kept the same as the standard Thar Roxx but with added modifications like the bigger all-terrain tyre as the spare tyre. There is also a massive roof rack on top of the vehicle. In addition, a few storage boxes have been added as well.

Mahindra FC/FJ Inspiration

Back in the 1990s, when the Indian economy was picking up its pace, major automakers like Mahindra and others produced a lot of vehicles that helped businesses and people in India move from one place to another. Of these vehicles, one was the Mahindra FJ van, which was the licensed version of the Jeep FC (Forward Control) van.

The Mahindra FC van came in a normal rear-wheel-drive layout. However, the company also offered a four-wheel-drive as well. This particular model became popular, especially in the hilly areas and in Rajasthan.

Following its launch in 1989, the FC evolved over the years, growing in size from a 10-seater to a 16-seater as well. This very important vehicle of the Indian automotive industry came powered by a 2.5-litre diesel engine. There were a few other engine options as well. Apart from the FJ van the company also produced FJ pickup trucks as well.
