Brave Locals Break Window To Save Mahindra Thar Roxx Passengers After SUV Falls Into Canal [Video]

Unfortunate incidents can take place at any place and at any time. Thankfully, there are alert people in the world who, in such scenarios, come out as guardian angels and save people from dying. Recently, a video has become viral on the internet in which a Mahindra Thar ROXX SUV was seen inside a canal. What has won the internet is that there were two young men who immediately jumped on this SUV and managed to rescue the occupants who were stuck inside the vehicle.

Mahindra Thar ROXX falls into the canal

This video, showing two brave young men helping in the rescue of a Mahindra Thar ROXX fallen in a canal, has been shared on X. It comes courtesy of Mahima Yadav on their page. It starts off with one of the two young men standing on the rear right quarter panel of the Thar ROXX fallen in a canal. There are no reports at the moment which have mentioned where exactly this incident took place.

Villagers rescue occupants

However, as seen in the short clip, the first man standing on the side of the half-submerged Thar ROXX tries opening the door. But when he was unsuccessful, he immediately uses his right foot to break off the window. What's even more surprising is that this man was barefoot when he kicked the window. We can note that at that specific point, his only aim was to make sure that occupants inside were saved quickly.

Soon after this, another young man stands on top of the rear quarter panel of the Thar ROXX, and he also tries opening the rear right door. We can observe that they eventually move away from the door and were able to open it up, following which they start taking out the rear seat occupants from the vehicle.

We can note that firstly a young girl child was rescued. She was taken out of the vehicle and was then handed over to the people on the side of the canal, after which the two men started rescuing other female occupants who were sitting in the rear.

Unfortunately, there is not a complete video of the incident, and whether all of the people inside the vehicle were successfully rescued or not is unknown. Also, it is not exactly known how this Mahindra Thar ROXX actually went inside the canal. Most likely, this happened due to a driver error.

Not the first incident

The above incident of a vehicle getting submerged in water is not an isolated instance. A little while ago, another video was shared online in which a couple in a Volkswagen Tiguan SUV, attempting to cross an overflowing causeway, got swept away.

The driver of this car was confident that it was safe to cross the river, as another vehicle had successfully crossed the road. However, as he drove into the water, the river’s currents suddenly increased. Due to this, his Volkswagen Tiguan was swept away and carried about 1.5 kilometers from the causeway before coming to a halt.

By the time it stopped, the car was almost fully submerged, with only the roof visible above the floodwaters. Following this, a rescue operation was launched, and the couple was rescued. Both of them were seen sitting on top of the roof of their vehicle after coming out of the sunroof.
