Mahindra will officially begin bookings for the all-new BE6 and XEV 9E electric SUVs. Production of these electric SUVs has commenced, and unofficial cars have already reached dealerships for customer experiences and test drives. We have seen several videos of both Mahindra EVs on the internet. It appears that Mahindra sent their upcoming EVs to a group of young entrepreneurs, and here’s what they think about the new XEV 9E and BE6.

The video has been shared by Mahindra Electric Origin SUVs on their YouTube channel. In this video, we see Reeti Sahai and Dhruv Madhok, two young entrepreneurs from New Delhi, experiencing Mahindra’s new electric SUVs—the BE6 and XEV 9E. The first video features Reeti Sahai, who took the XEV 9E for a drive and shared her experience.

Reeti Sahai is an entrepreneur, marathoner, and founder of the “Run with Reeti” running community. It is evident from the description that Reeti is highly athletic. The Mahindra XEV 9E matches this persona; it looks sporty and futuristic from every angle. Reeti can be heard saying that the eSUV from Mahindra is mind-blowing.

She is thoroughly impressed by the performance and features. She is particularly amazed that this is a made-in-India electric vehicle. She describes the exterior design as muscular and says that this design is something we can expect to see in all cars of the future. The lights and design complement each other, creating a cohesive and appealing look.

Reeti also mentions several features in the XEV 9E that she loved, with her favorite being the Auto Park feature. This is typically a feature seen in expensive cars from brands like BMW and Mercedes-Benz. She also appreciated the infotainment themes—Calm, Cozy, and Club—which come with tunes curated by A.R. Rahman and ambient lighting.

The next video features Dhruv Madhok, another entrepreneur from Delhi. He was equally impressed by the BE6. When he got a chance to experience the vehicle in person, the first phrase that came to his mind was “cutting edge.” The design, technology, and performance of the eSUV were all truly innovative.

He discusses the air scoops and various character lines on the car, which are not just for aesthetics but also improve aerodynamics. Dhruv also highlights the large 19-inch wheels that enhance the car’s overall appearance.

He describes the BE6 as futuristic yet practical. What impressed him the most was the super-silent cabin. All the features, including the infotainment system and sound system, worked flawlessly, leaving him highly impressed.

The price for the BE6 starts at ₹18.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹26.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The XEV 9E, which is a larger electric SUV, starts at ₹21.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹30.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Both the BE6 and XEV 9E come with two battery pack options—a 59 kWh and a 79 kWh option. Both SUVs are rear-wheel drive (RWD). Bookings would officially start from 14th February and deliveries would start from March 2025. Mahindra would start with the delivery of the top-end Pack three variant first.
