Mammootty Back In Action: Posts Picture With Latest Toyota Land Cruiser LC300
Malayalam movie star Mammootty has been away from social media and movies for quite some time due to health issues. A few weeks ago, the megastar from the Malayalam film industry posted a picture of himself with his new ride, a Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 GR Sport, on a beach. The face of the actor wasn’t clearly visible, but now we have another set of images where the actor is seen with his new car.
The images have been shared by Mammootty’s production house on their social media profile. In the first image, we see Mammootty standing next to the LC300 while the car is parked in the porch of his house. In the next image, we see the actor getting out of the driver’s seat of the same car. There were reports that he was flying to Hyderabad for the shoot of his upcoming project. It looks like the images were taken just before he left for Hyderabad.
The SUV seen here is the GR Sport variant of the Land Cruiser LC300. He is probably the only celebrity in South India to currently own the GR Sport variant. The GR Sport variant of the Land Cruiser LC300 was officially launched in India earlier this year in February. It is different from the standard LC300 that was launched in the market a couple of years ago.
The GR Sport version is the off-road-focused version and looks more rugged than the regular version. While the regular version of the LC300 has a large chrome grille, this one gets a blacked-out grille with Toyota lettering instead of the logo. A horizontal chrome slat divides the grille into two parts.
The headlamp design and the fog lamp positions remain the same. There is a GR Sport badge on the grille as well. Coming to the side profile, the GR Sport version gets smaller 18-inch blacked-out alloy wheels. The design of the wheels is also different from the regular version. The GR Sport badge can be seen on the front doors and tailgate as well.
Apart from these cosmetic changes, the overall design of the car remains the same. Coming to the interior, Toyota is offering an all-black theme for added sportiness in the cabin. The car is available with the same set of features as the regular version. It gets electrically adjustable seats, ventilation and heating functions for both front and rear seats, electrically adjustable seats with memory function, an electric sunroof, a premium speaker system, and so on.
It uses the same 3.3-litre turbocharged V6 diesel engine that generates 304 Bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque. While the LC300 is available with a petrol option internationally, in India we do not get that. We only get the diesel engine option. The price for a brand new LC300 is Rs 2.31 crore, ex-showroom. The GR Sport variant costs Rs 2.41 crore, ex-showroom.
As we already know, he is a big-time car enthusiast and this is not the first time he has been seen with an expensive car like this. Mammootty, along with his son Dulquer Salmaan, owns the so-called 369 Garage, which consists of several new and old exotic, luxury, and classic cars. Apart from the LC300, Dulquer also owns several older-generation Land Cruisers in his collection.
