Movie Star Mammootty Buys Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 GR Sport SUV Worth Rs 2.4 Crore

When we talk about celebrities, luxury cars are part of their lifestyle. Most of them look for a comfortable car, while there are others who actually appreciate good cars and bikes. In South India, Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan are one such father-son celebrity duo. They have a variety of expensive and exotic cars in their garage. While Dulquer has a taste for classic cars, Mammootty is known for his love for modern cars. Mammootty recently celebrated his birthday and, on his birthday, he posted an image of himself standing next to his brand-new SUV — a Land Cruiser LC300 GR Sport SUV worth crores.
The image has been circulating on various social media profiles, including Mammootty’s own. In the first image, we see the actor standing next to his brand-new LC300 GR Sport SUV. The other image is from the dealership before the actor picked it up. The GR Sport variant of the Land Cruiser LC300 was officially launched in India earlier this year in February. It is different from the standard LC300 that was launched in the market a couple of years ago.
The GR Sport version is the off-road-focused version and looks more rugged than the regular version. While the regular version of the LC300 has a large chrome grille, this one gets a blacked-out grille with Toyota lettering instead of the logo. A horizontal chrome slat divides the grille into two parts.
The headlamp design and the fog lamp positions remain the same. There is a GR Sport badge on the grille as well. Coming to the side profile, the GR Sport version gets smaller 18-inch blacked-out alloy wheels. The design of the wheels is also different from the regular version. The GR Sport version badge can be seen on the front doors and tailgate as well.
Apart from these cosmetic changes, the overall design of the car remains the same. Coming to the interior, Toyota is offering an all-black theme for added sportiness to the cabin. The car is available with the same set of features as the regular version. It gets electrically adjustable seats, ventilation and heating functions for both front and rear seats, electrically adjustable seats with memory function, electric sunroof, premium speaker system, and so on.
It uses the same 3.3-litre turbocharged V6 diesel engine that generates 304 Bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque. While the LC300 is available with a petrol option internationally, in India we do not have that. We only get the diesel engine option. Price for a brand new LC300 is Rs 2.31 crore, ex-showroom. The GR Sport variant costs Rs 2.41 crore, ex-showroom.
Coming back to Mammootty, it looks like he is the first celebrity in South India to actually own the LC300 GR Sport variant. He is a big-time car enthusiast and, in most cases, he is seen driving his own car while the driver sits in the co-passenger or rear seat. Apart from buying the LC300 GR Sport, Mammootty also opted for the signature 369 fancy number for his new SUV. The new SUV has the number KL07DH0369.
Apart from the LC300, the 369 garage also owns older generations of the Land Cruiser. Dulquer likes to collect iconic cars and we are almost sure that the father-son duo currently has all the generations of the Toyota Land Cruiser SUVs in their garage.
