Malayalam Megastar Mammootty Spotted Driving Dulquer Salmaan’s Land Rover Defender Octa [Video]

Anyone who has been visiting our website knows how much we love celebrities who have a passion for cars and bikes. In the Malayalam film industry, there is one such father–son duo who love cars, and they are often seen driving cars too. We are talking about Malayalam movie star Mammootty and his son Dulquer Salmaan, who own the so-called 369 Garage. Dulquer had recently bought a Defender Octa, and videos of the same are available online. Here, we have a video where Mammootty is seen arriving at an event in the same Defender Octa.
The video has been shared by cj7_repsol.thecarspotter on his Instagram page. It looks like Mammootty, along with another actor and his friend Ramesh Pisharody, was going to an event. Unlike most celebrities, Mammootty is known for his love for driving and cars. So, it is common to see him drive a car. His driver often stays either in the co-driver’s seat or the back seat of the vehicle.
In this case, he chose Dulquer’s new Defender to go for the event. We see him drive the car and enter the premises where the event was happening. The Defender Octa is the most powerful version of the Defender sold in India. Dulquer Salmaan took delivery of this SUV earlier this month, and he had shared images of the same online too.
This is, however, the first time we have seen Mammootty drive the Defender Octa after it was bought. The SUV is finished in the Petra Copper shade, which looks extremely good, especially because of the matte finish.
Surprisingly, this is not the first or the only Defender in the 369 Garage. Mammootty and Dulquer also own a Defender 110, and Dulquer has a decent collection of classic Defender models as well.
The Defender Octa, as mentioned above, is the most powerful Defender yet, and it is also the most expensive one to date. It was launched in India earlier this year and comes with minor design changes that differentiate it from the regular version.
The alloy wheel design is probably the most easily noticeable change. The Octa Edition One gets new front and rear bumpers, a larger grille, wider side wheel arches, new 20-inch alloy wheels, and a quad exhaust setup.
The Defender Octa Edition One comes powered by a massive 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which also gets mild-hybrid assist. This engine generates 626 bhp and 750 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
Dulquer is not the only celebrity who owns a Defender Octa. Bollywood actor Sunny Deol, son of veteran actor Dharmendra who recently passed away, also owns this SUV. He was probably the first celeb to buy a Defender Octa in India.
Coming back to Mammootty and Dulquer, the father–son duo owns cars like the Mercedes-AMG A45 S, Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 GR Sport, Porsche 911 GT3, Mercedes SLS AMG, and many more classic and modern classic cars.
