People trying to create viral content on social media just to gain attention and fame from it has become a very common thing online. We often see young social media users perform dangerous stunts in public places for the sake of publicity. They often end up getting into trouble with the authorities for the same. Here we have one such video from Assam where a person was seen recording a video of a passing train while lying on the same track from where the train was passing. The video went viral, and he has now been arrested.

The video has been shared by The Assam Tribune on their Instagram page. In this video, we see a 27-year-old person who has been identified as Papul Alam Barbhuiya lying on the railway track at Lalabazar railway station. The person is lying on the track next to the platform.

In the next shot, we see a locomotive approaching the station. After this, we see the video showing the phone recording where we can see the underbody of the train. The train was moving fast, probably because it didn’t have a stop at the station. After the train passes, we see the person lying on the track get up and walk away with the recording.

He posted the video on his Facebook profile, and it went viral almost immediately. As more people watched it, many of them started reporting the video, raising safety concerns. Railway police and concerned authorities also came across the video and started an investigation.

With the help of the video and other clues that were available online, the officers managed to track the culprit and arrest him. Papul Alam Barbhuiya was arrested and was produced in court. While arguing about the dangers of the act that the social media user performed, the officials stressed the need for strict action against those who perform such stunts.

The video we see here is edited, and we are not sure if the person seen in the video was actually lying on the track when the train passed. The locomotive shown in the first shot of the video is actually just the engine and not the whole train. But in the last shot, when the man stands up from the track, we see a goods train passing the station behind him.

If a person was lying on a track like seen in the video here, we feel the loco pilot would have spotted him and would have informed the authorities.

However, this is extremely dangerous, and we really hope that this was not a real stunt. This is extremely dangerous, and there are many people who might get inspired by such stunts and might go out on the tracks to repeat the same—all this for some views and likes on social media.

The chances of getting injured while doing such a dangerous stunt are pretty high, and we really urge everyone who is reading this story not to engage in such acts or even encourage anyone to do such a dangerous stunt.
