The build quality of a vehicle is something that many buyers have been considering lately while buying a new or used car. In most cases, we hear names of cars from brands like Mahindra and Tata when it comes to build quality. However, things are slowly changing, and even India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki, has also started taking this seriously. Their recent offering for the Indian market, the Dzire sedan, scored a 5-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test. Here, we have a video that proves the same in a real-world condition.

The video has been shared by RNK Autos and Anil Rajput on their Instagram page. As per one of the videos, the accident happened at the Lucknow toll plaza. The car seen in the video is a brand-new, current-generation Maruti Dzire sedan. The accident occurred when a truck crashed into the rear of this Dzire sedan, which was waiting at the toll plaza.

The Dzire sedan seen here is a brand-new car, and it was probably being driven home from the dealership. The truck rear-ended the sedan, and upon impact, the sedan crashed into another vehicle in front. The front and rear of the sedan are completely damaged in the crash. The boot of the sedan has collapsed, and the front of the sedan has sustained damage as well.

The front of the sedan has a damaged grille, bonnet, bumper, and headlamps. The front wheels on the Dzire have also been damaged in the crash. In the first video, we see the sedan being towed out of the toll plaza.

In the second clip, we get to see the same car up close. The second video shows how the cabin and the rest of the car look after the accident.

Looking at the condition of the car, it appears that the truck rammed into the toll plaza at high speed. The sub-4-meter sedan managed to perform well in this case. While your attention may go to the damaged front and rear, the cabin remains intact. Even the front airbags deployed at the time of the crash. Driver and occupants in the car are safe without any injuries.

The comment section under both videos contains statements both against and in favor of the brand. After going through the comments, it seemed that some people were unable to comprehend the fact that Maruti has built a safe car. Many were saying that the car is damaged and is not a 5-star-rated car.

The rating that is made public is divided into two sections. One of them is for Adult Occupant Safety, while the other is for Child Occupant Safety. What many people don’t understand is that safety ratings are based on the car’s ability to keep the occupants safe. The Maruti Dzire managed to keep both the driver and passengers safe, which is why it scored 5 stars.

Even the structure of the sedan looks intact, which plays a crucial role in keeping the occupants safe. This is not the first accident video of a Maruti Dzire on the internet. Before this, a similar case happened with another brand-new Dzire, and the results were the same.

Current generation Maruti Dzire is powered by a 1.2 litre, 33-cylinder petrol engine. It is offered with both manual and AMT gearbox options. Price for Maruti Dzire starts at Rs 6.79 lakh, ex-showroom and goes all the way till Rs 10.14 lakh, ex-showroom.
