Maruti eVitara Electric SUV Arrives At Bengaluru Showroom (Video)

Maruti Suzuki unveiled their first-ever fully electric vehicle, the eVitara, at the Auto Expo or Bharat Mobility Global Expo this year. Maruti shared the technical specifications of the upcoming electric SUV during the event, and we expect Maruti to launch the eVitara in the coming months. It is a premium product and will be sold via Nexa dealerships. It looks like Maruti has already started sending display cars to dealerships across the country. We have one such video of the Maruti eVitara being unveiled at a dealership in Bengaluru.
The video has been shared by Sanjay Rao on his Instagram page. The Maruti Suzuki eVitara has reached a dealership in Bengaluru and is actually a display unit. This would attract many customers to the dealership and also give prospective buyers a chance to get a closer look at the vehicle.
The Maruti Suzuki eVitara, as seen in the video, was unveiled at an event organized by the dealership. According to recent reports circulating online, Maruti will offer the eVitara SUV in three variants—Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. The SUV is an electric version of the Grand Vitara, which is already available for sale.
Apart from the similarity in name, everything else about the eVitara is different from the Grand Vitara. To start with, they are based on two different platforms. The eVitara is built on the HEARTECT-e platform, a skateboard platform specifically designed for EVs. The SUV features unique Y-shaped LED DRLs and LED headlamps.
It has a muscular-looking front end with fog lamps. Like most EVs, the eVitara also gets a closed front grille. Additionally, it comes with parking sensors and a front camera. The SUV has a boxy side profile with large wheel arches and thick claddings that further enhance its SUV character. The rear door handles are integrated into the C-pillar.
At the rear, the eVitara features all-LED tail lamps with connecting LED bars, a muscular rear bumper, and an integrated roof spoiler. The Maruti Suzuki eVitara also gets an all-new cabin, which differs from any Suzuki model currently available for sale in India.
The interior includes square-shaped AC vents with silver outlines, a twin-deck floating-type center console with storage underneath, a rotary gear knob, an electric sunroof, a floating-type touchscreen infotainment system, and a fully digital instrument cluster.
The steering wheel on the eVitara is a new unit with a flat bottom. The eVitara offers features such as drive modes (Sport, Eco, and Normal), ventilated front seats with 10-way electric adjustments for the driver’s seat, seven airbags, disc brakes on all four wheels, and Level 2 ADAS.
Maruti Suzuki will offer the eVitara with two battery pack options: a 49 kWh battery pack and a 61 kWh battery pack. Maruti uses LFP batteries sourced from BYD for the eVitara.
Internationally, Suzuki is also offering an AWD version of the eVitara, but it looks like we won’t be getting it for now. Toyota’s version of the same SUV will also be launched in the market later this year. We currently have no information on the pricing, but it is expected to be somewhere between Rs 17 lakh and Rs 25 lakh.
