India’s First Maruti Jimny To Ford Bronco Conversion Is A Super Cool Convertible [Video]
The classic Ford Bronco is one of the most sought-after American SUVs; however, it never came to India. Recently, a video was shared online in which a Maruti Suzuki Jimny has been completely transformed to look like a classic Bronco. This particular SUV has been given a custom dual-tone paint job, removable roof, whitewall tires, and a ton of other changes to resemble a classic Ford Bronco.
The video showing this completely converted Maruti Jimny has been shared on Instagram by Mehreen Gandhi on her page. It starts with the influencer walking towards this modified Jimny and opening the driver-side door. Following this, she can be seen removing the soft top cover from the SUV. Finally, she drives this SUV in a basement for some beauty shots.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny Converted into Ford Bronco
From the video, you can note that a ton of work has been put into this SUV to make it look like a classic Ford Bronco. At the front, the main changes include a completely new front grille, which has been painted white. It gives this SUV a retro vibe.
Next up, the front bumper has also been custom-made and is also finished in white. Moving on to the side profile, it can be noted that the SUV has been given a set of bigger monoblock alloy wheels with large white-colored hubcaps and whitewalls.
Apart from these, this particular Jimny has also been given a set of classic chrome mirrors, which enhance the retro appearance of this SUV. Now, moving to the rear, anyone who sees this SUV on the road will not be able to find out that it is a Jimny.
This is because the entire rear panel has been removed. Apart from this, the taillights have also been moved up, and a white-colored custom rear bumper has been added. To continue the retro vibe, a spare wheel with the same monoblock alloy, white hubcap, and whitewall has been added.
Interior Modifications
In addition to the extensive work done on the exterior, the interior of this Jimny has also been given a custom touch. It now gets a complete tan and white leather dual-tone interior. Additionally, the metal roof of the vehicle has been removed, and a soft-top detachable roof has been added.
Monster Jimny with Rs 36 Lakh in Mods
Although the Bronco Jimny conversion is the coolest Jimny in India, the tag for the most expensive and purpose-built Jimny is taken by the one prepared by Moving Metal Garage. This particular Jimny has been given mods that alone cost Rs 36 lakh. Yes, you heard that right. The mods alone cost more than the price of two Jimnys.
A video showing this unique SUV was shared online. The vlogger highlighted the list of modifications done on this car. He explains that this particular Jimny has been given Dana 44 independent differentials, chromoly axles, rear disc brakes, and Lambda differential lockers that are compatible with the Dana 44s.
Apart from these mods, it has also been given a massive six-inch lift kit and huge 32.8-inch tires as well. The owner of this SUV mentioned that it is over 9 inches taller than any stock Jimny. It is also the only Jimny in the country to be fitted with an FMSCI—Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India—approved six-point roll cage.
