Maruti Baleno Driver Flees Without Paying, With Fuel Nozzle Still Attached [Video]

Although it is not very common, there are people across the country who try to run away from fuel stations after they get their vehicles filled. Recently, another such video in which a Maruti Suzuki Baleno driver ran away after getting petrol in his vehicle has been shared online. What’s shocking about this particular incident is that the Baleno driver ran away with the fuel nozzle while it was filling up. It has been reported that the fuel nozzle was found 2 km away from the station after the driver ran away with it.
The video showing the incident in which a Baleno driver drove away with the nozzle attached to the car has been shared on X by Dinesh Rathour on his page. In this short clip, we can note that the driver of this particular Maruti Suzuki Baleno started driving away with the nozzle still in the fuel filling point. Most likely, the driver noted that the person fueling the vehicle was on the other side of the pump.
What happens next is that by the time the fuel pump attendant came to the other side, the Baleno driver had already driven away. During this escape, this driver did not even care to check if the nozzle was removed from the vehicle or not. There is also a possibility that the driver might have thought that the fuel nozzle would automatically come off after they drove away.
As per reports, this particular incident took place at Shri Balaji Fuel Station, which is located on Jalesar Road, Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. It happened on Thursday, July 31, 2025. From the CCTV footage, it can be noted that it took place at 6 PM; however, the official complaint was registered around 8:05 PM.
It was then reported that the petrol pump employees were shocked after this incident took place. However, they immediately informed the police authorities, following which the authorities reached the spot quickly and chased the fleeing car. But by the time they arrived, the vehicle had already run away.
As for the petrol pump nozzle, it was found around 2 km ahead of the petrol pump location. Presently, the Baleno that was involved in this incident has not been found. However, the police authorities have started the investigation and are now trying to identify the owner of the vehicle using the number plate and other details captured by the CCTV footage.
Last year, a case went viral on the internet. It was reported from Kannur, Kerala, that a driver at the district headquarters of the Kannur City police named K. Santhosh Kumar ran away with the fuel pump attendant on the bonnet of his Maruti Suzuki Swift. What happened was that the driver got his vehicle fueled up with Rs 2,100 worth of petrol.
However, at the time of payment, he only paid Rs 1,900 and was trying to leave. At this point, the fuel pump attendant came in front of the vehicle. But the driver did not stop and drove ahead. As a result, the attendant ended up on top of the bonnet. The incident was then reported to the police authorities, and the driver was suspended from service and arrested for attempted murder.
