Heroic Cop Rescues Woman Driver From Flood Waters [Video]
Most of the Indian cities and towns get completely waterlogged after it rains heavily. This is mostly due to the poor quality of drainage infrastructure. Recently, a small town in Rajasthan got completely flooded after it rained heavily, and as a result, this woman got stuck inside her Maruti Suzuki Celerio hatchback. Thankfully, a police officer, with the help of a tractor, came to the rescue of this woman just in time.
This video showing a police officer rescuing a woman has been shared on X by Vinod Bhojak on their page. As per the post, this particular incident took place in the small town of Fatehpur in Shekhawati, Rajasthan. What happened was that the town recently received a lot of rainfall. As a result of this, the town's main bus stand area got waterlogged.
Woman rescued by cop on tractor
Unfortunately, a woman driving a Maruti Suzuki Celerio got stuck after the excessive water on the roads seized its engine. It was then noted that this particular hatchback was half-submerged in water. Thankfully, a few people, including a police officer, came to the rescue of this stranded woman. These men arrived on the spot on a tractor, which was parked next to this Celerio.
Following this, the police officer was seen rescuing the woman. We can note from the video that this officer placed his left foot on the rear door handle of the Celerio. Meanwhile, his right foot was on the large rear tyre of the tractor. What happens next is that the cop firstly opens the driver-side door of the hatchback and gives his hand to the woman to hold.
She then puts her left leg on the door panel of her vehicle and climbs onto the tractor. Unfortunately, she could not immediately make her way inside of this tractor due to the canopy. However, she then improvises and puts her foot back on the Celerio door and then re-attempts to enter the tractor. This time around, she becomes successful and sits next to the driver of this tractor.
Poor quality of infrastructure causes such issues
As can be seen in the video, all of the roads of this town’s main bus stand area are fully waterlogged. This mostly happens because authorities responsible for the development of proper drainage systems are corrupt.
They do not put in the effort to improve drains because they believe that such issues only take place in monsoon, and after which the public forgets about such issues. So instead of developing, they leave things as they are.
Boatmen rescue Honda CR-V occupants
Recently, another video became viral on the internet. What happened was that a Honda CR-V, which was being driven by a learning driver, plunged into the river Ganga in Digha, Patna, Bihar. It was reported that the driver had accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake on the riverside. As a result, this SUV fell into the water.
Thankfully, there were a number of alert boatmen who quickly came to the rescue of the husband and wife who were inside this SUV. It was noted that they took their boat close to the submerged CR-V and rescued both occupants. Whether the vehicle was then recovered or not has not been reported.
