Maruti Ertiga Vs Toyota Fortuner In A Road Rage Incident Caught On Dashcam [Video]
The number of egoistic, idiotic drivers on Indian roads is increasing exponentially every day. It seems like almost every day we are seeing new cases of road rage where people get into fights unnecessarily. Recently, a video was shared online in which a Maruti Suzuki Ertiga driver was seen trying to fight a Toyota Fortuner driver after crashing his MPV into the SUV. Thankfully, the driver of the Fortuner de-escalated the situation and saved his family.

This video showing the Toyota Fortuner and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga getting involved in a crash was shared on YouTube by Prateek Singh on his channel. As per the Toyota Fortuner driver who shared the video with the YouTuber, the incident took place in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. In the clip, we can note that the Toyota Fortuner comes to a halt on a fairly busy city road.
A Kia Seltos driver makes a U-turn and stops as a Maruti Suzuki Ertiga was reversing out of a parking spot. Following this, both of these cars start driving ahead, and the Fortuner driver also continues driving in the same direction. After this, it can be noted that the Ertiga driver once again moves his vehicle to the left lane and stops for a brief moment.

Soon after this, he once again starts driving the vehicle ahead, and both vehicles come very close to each other as both were about to take the left turn. During this turn, as we can see, the Toyota Fortuner was ahead, so it had the right to move ahead before the Ertiga. However, for some reason, the Ertiga driver did something extremely stupid.
The video shows that after both cars made the left turn, the Fortuner moved ahead and was going straight. However, instead of waiting for the Fortuner to move ahead, the driver of the Ertiga started overtaking the Fortuner by going from the left lane to the right lane. During this time, the Fortuner driver could not turn any further towards the right as there was a divider.
Following this, in the next moment, the Toyota Fortuner was hit by the Ertiga on the front left side, and it was damaged. Meanwhile, the rear right taillight of the Ertiga was also broken, and most likely, its rear bumper on the right side also suffered damage.

What happens next in the video is that the Ertiga driver immediately came out of the vehicle and looked extremely angry. He can be heard cursing and asking the Fortuner driver to come out. When the Fortuner driver refused to come out as his wife and kids were inside the vehicle, the angry Ertiga driver broke the right ORVM of the SUV.
At the moment, no official complaint has been filed against the Ertiga driver. However, it can be seen that it was entirely the fault of the Ertiga owner. The owner of the Fortuner has shared this video to show that drivers should avoid the urge to fight during road rage as it only complicates the situation, and there is always an inherent risk of getting injured.
