Well, as unfortunate as it is, this happens more often than you would imagine. Most recently, another such video of a Maruti Suzuki Fronx falling off a car lift at the dealership service center has been shared online. Thankfully, due to quick reaction, one of the staff members avoided getting crushed by the fallen car.

This video of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx falling off a service lift has been shared on Instagram. It comes courtesy of Auto Officials. In this short clip, what we can note is that there is a Maruti Suzuki Fronx lifted up on a service lift. The exact dealership service center where this happened has not been reported.

Soon after this, we can note that there were two people near the Fronx: a person wearing a white hoodie and a person in a shirt and pants. What happens next is the white hoodie man starts checking out the car at the front and turns around. At the same time, the other man goes underneath the car to check for something near the steering rack.

Just after this, we can see that the car first falls off from the front left side. At this point, the white hoodie man once again turns around. At this exact moment, due to the extremely quick thinking and reflexes, the man underneath the car jumps away from the car.

It can be noted that this man, after noting that the car has started falling, first goes a little behind. After that, he quickly jumps to the right side. Now, had this man not made this split-second decision, he most likely would have been crushed to death underneath this Maruti Suzuki Fronx.

Soon after this, when the car finally settles on the ground, we can note that there was actually another dealership employee involved in this incident. This particular employee was sitting inside the car at the time of the fall. After the fall, he was quickly rescued by other employees of the service center.

Car Falling Off Lifts: More Common Than You Think

If you are one of those individuals who think a car falling off a service lift is a very rare occurrence, you might be surprised after knowing that this is a lot more common than you’d think. There have been numerous incidents where cars have fallen off service elevators. However, the chances of these incidents taking place are still fairly low.

Now, generally, dealerships should be the ones who fix these damaged cars after they fall at their dealerships. However, we have seen instances where car dealerships have asked the car owners to claim these damages on their insurance.

A while ago, another incident was reported from Hyderabad. What happened was a man named Dr. Rajiv Bandaru dropped off his Tata Nexon EV for general service at the local Tata Motors dealership. However, it was then reported that during the car getting on the lift, it severely crashed.

He shared the pictures of his car, and it showed the front end completely damaged. After this, he revealed that instead of repairing the damages free of cost, the CEO and MD of Orange Auto Pvt Ltd from Hyderabad forced him to claim this damage on his insurance. It was also stated that the dealership did not let him watch the CCTV footage as well.

How Dealerships Should Treat Their Customers

In the above-mentioned incident, the entire fault was of the dealership, yet they refused to take accountability for it. However, there have been other instances as well where dealerships have cooperated with customers.

A while ago, a Kia dealership crashed a customer’s Sonet while doing alignment. However, after the customer reported this mistake, they helped him by replacing his car with a new one. There have also been other similar cases where dealerships have actually helped their customers.
