A number of people love modifying their cars because they want their vehicles to stand apart from any other car on the road. For this, they even go as far as completely repainting their brand-new car as well. Recently, one such automotive enthusiast, getting his 400 km-driven Maruti Suzuki Fronx painted in a unique Lamborghini green shade, has been shared online. This particular Fronx has been given a full color change with a number of unique details.

Watch on YouTube

The video showing this Maruti Suzuki Fronx being completely transformed into a Lamborghini green-colored car has been shared on YouTube by ETU Studios on their channel. In the video, the host then states that the owner's choice of color was Lamborghini’s Verde Ermes, which is a dark metallic green color with metal flakes that give it a unique shine. Following this, the host asks the painter to make two shades of Verde Ermes — one with silver flakes and one with silver and gold flakes — after which the owner chooses the latter.

After finalizing the color choice, the vehicle did not go for painting immediately. Rather, the owner requested the shop to get his Fronx 1.2 naturally aspirated hatchback stage one tuned. The host then introduces the tuner, who explains the tuning process. He mentions that their stage one tune bumps up the power from 90 bhp to 100 bhp, and torque also increases by 16 Nm.

Following the tuning and testing, the hatchback was then taken to the disassembly section. All of the body panels, including the front bonnet, bumper, headlights, fenders, doors, windshield, rear trunk, and rear bumper, were completely removed from this hatchback, after which they were completely sanded down.

The painter then started applying a black primer on the vehicle to make sure that the paint adheres to the body of the car. Moving on, each and every body panel was carefully painted in the Verde Ermes color, and then a clear coat was added. The shell of the car was also taken inside the paint booth for painting, and it was finished in the same color.

Unique touches

As part of the unique touches, all the side claddings and matte black parts of the bumpers were painted in gloss black. This gave the car a very classy appearance. Also, all the emblems were painted in gloss black as well, which added to the unique appearance of this hatchback.

The answer to this is yes, it is completely legal to change the exterior color of your vehicle. For this, the owner has to first fill out a color change form and submit it to their local RTO with their registration certificate, after which the new color is added to their registration certificate. Using the same, the owner can get their color changed. Any other way of changing color in India is illegal. This means that all wraps and all tinted PPFs are illegal.
