India's First 'Maruti Jimny Converted To Bronco' On Video

If you are an automotive enthusiast, then you must have loved the Classic Ford Bronco at some point in your life. This iconic American SUV was offered in many different iterations and boasted macho presence. Unfortunately, it was never officially sold in India. However, today people have found a way to get the feeling of a Bronco in India. Recently, a video of India's first proper Maruti Suzuki Jimny to Ford Bronco conversion has been shared online.
This particular Maruti Suzuki Jimny to Ford Bronco conversion has been shared on YouTube by Dhruv Attri on their channel. It starts off with the host mentioning that this particular Maruti Suzuki Jimny has been fully converted into a Ford Bronco-inspired model and has been given a number of period-correct mods.
He then mentions that a price of a new Maruti Alto, which is around Rs 5–6 lakh, has been spent on the modifications alone. The vlogger highlights that the owner of this Bronco conversion Jimny has chosen the iconic Robin’s Egg Blue color for this SUV, which was one of the original colors offered on the Bronco that was available in the 1970s.
Following this, the vlogger then starts giving a detailed exterior walkaround of this Maruti Suzuki Jimny conversion. He first shows the front end of this vehicle, which gets a brand-new metal front bumper. This particular bumper is finished in a retro white shade and has slots in the middle. Also, the front grille has been swapped with a custom metal grille that is also the same as the original Bronco.
Next up, he moves to the lower section of the front end and shows the custom-made metal lower section with skid plate. This lower section gets two fog light mounting points and a number plate holder. There is also a metal skid plate on the bottom, which protects the mechanical components from getting thrashed during hardcore off-roading.
Moving on to the side profile, the vlogger mentions that this Jimny gets a set of 16-inch retro-style alloy wheels, which have been imported specifically for this project. It has also been given chrome centre hub caps, which add to the vintage appearance of this vehicle. Also, the brake calipers have been finished in green color as well. It can be noted that the wheel arches have been finished in Robin's Egg Blue color as well.
Apart from this, the roof and rear section have been painted in white color as well, which gives it a proper classic Bronco look. Finally, the vlogger then moves to the rear of this Jimny Bronco conversion, and it gets a custom-made metal ladder, which has been painted in white color to tie it in with the whole build. Also, the vlogger shows the custom rear bumper with vintage-style brake lights and turn indicators.
After showing the exterior of this build, the vlogger then shows the interior. He mentions that the vehicle has been given a complete interior makeover, as its entire lower section of the hard plastics has been painted in tan color. Also, the seats have been finished in tan leather with a ribbed pattern that also looks like a vintage model. The plastic door handles on the roof and on the dashboard have been hydro-dipped as well to give them a wooden appearance.
