Rashly Driven Maruti Swift Crashes Into Autorickshaw: Flees After Auto Flips [Video]
The number of reckless drivers on public roads is increasing exponentially every day. A number of idiot drivers drive like maniacs and sooner or later hurt other road users. Recently, a video has become viral on the internet in which a Maruti Suzuki Swift driver was seen crashing into an autorickshaw on a busy road and has been shared online. It was noted that this autorickshaw completely flipped over after it was hit by the speeding Maruti Suzuki Swift.
This particular video, showing the reckless Maruti Suzuki Swift crashing into an autorickshaw, has been shared on X by The Headliner on their page. As per the reports, this particular video was shared by another driver who was driving on a flyover on the Defence Colony–Lajpat Nagar road when this incident took place. It was recorded on the dashcam of the vehicle of this particular person.
Reckless Swift driver hits autorickshaw
What happens in the video is that an autorickshaw was driving on the left lane of this two-lane flyover. On the right side of this autorickshaw was a scooter with two people riding on it. In just a couple of seconds, we can note that a speeding Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback was braking with its wheel turned towards the right side.
Unfortunately, this vehicle could not stop on time, and as a result, it crashed into the autorickshaw. Soon after this, we can observe that the auto was pushed towards the left side and then to the right and flipped over. The roof of this autorickshaw came off after it flipped on the road. Most likely, the autorickshaw driver has suffered injuries due to this reckless crash.
Now whether there were any occupants inside the auto cannot be seen. What can be seen is that the scooter with two passengers that was on the right side was saved from the crash. This happened because the vigilant scooter driver, after hearing the screeching noise of the tyres, accelerated ahead and saved himself and his pillion from getting hit by the hatchback.
Despite causing the crash, the Maruti Suzuki driver did not stop to check the condition of the autorickshaw driver. Instead, this driver immediately drove away so that he would not have to take care of the autorickshaw driver or get thrashed by the public.
The person who shared the dashcam footage stated, “This happened earlier today near the Defence Colony–Lajpat Nagar flyover. The Swift was rash driving like crazy, it was almost gonna hit us but instead hit a scooty and an auto, and just took off without stopping."
He added, “Got the whole thing on dashcam. I mean, how reckless can people be and have no empathy for other human lives and don’t even think of the consequences even once.”
Has police arrested this Swift driver?
Presently, there are no reports which have mentioned if this Swift driver has been caught by the authorities or not. However, most likely, as the video has become viral on the internet, police authorities will now take action and arrest the driver using the registration number of the vehicle.
