Maruti Swift Driver Nearly Loses Control Due To Reckless Mahindra Thar Driver! [Video]
Reckless driving is one of the major causes of accidents on our roads. It is a known fact that most Indians who drive on our roads lack discipline, and there has also been a rise in the number of road rage incidents. We have also seen a rise in cases where people perform stunts on public roads. Here, we have one such incident where a Maruti Swift driver almost lost control of his car and spun on the road, all because a reckless Mahindra Thar driver decided to drive on the wrong side.
The video has been shared by Nikhil Rana on his YouTube channel. The exact location where this happened is not known. The video was recorded on a camera installed outside a truck or heavy vehicle for surveillance.
It looks like the truck was parked when this crash occurred. We see a tractor passing through the narrow two-lane road, and behind it is a Maruti Swift. We also see a bike pass the tractor from the opposite direction. We are not sure if the bike was on the wrong side or if the other lane was blocked for traffic for some reason.
We say this because we can see the median of the road just behind the truck, and a two-wheeler rider also joins the road from the rear. Coming back to the video, the bike was passing through the left lane and suddenly a Mahindra Thar follows the biker on the wrong side.
The Thar driver follows the biker on the wrong side at high speed and then tries to overtake the biker at almost the same speed. The Mahindra Thar overtakes the bike and continues ahead. However, what the Thar driver did not realise was how reckless his move was and how he almost crashed into the Maruti Swift coming from the opposite direction.
The Maruti Swift driver was probably not expecting a Mahindra Thar from the wrong side. He quickly swerved the car to avoid the Thar, and while doing so, the Swift went off the road. The hatchback lost traction and went sideways. Thankfully, the Swift didn’t crash into any other vehicle or the shops on the side of the road.
The hatchback spun and came back onto the road. There were pedestrians nearby, and the Swift driver managed to avoid them as well. The Mahindra Thar driver is the only reason why this accident almost happened. The Thar driver was driving recklessly and was also on the wrong side of the road. Not only did he drive carelessly, he also overtook the bike in front in a dangerous manner, greatly increasing the chances of a crash.
It is because of such drivers that the Mahindra Thar has a bad reputation among authorities. We even saw how the Haryana DGP recently made a public comment to the media stating that people who buy or drive a Mahindra Thar are actually rogue elements. This statement caused a major controversy among Thar owners, with some even sending him a legal notice.
