Massive King Cobra Rescued From Car’s Bonnet [Video]

When humans invade jungles, wildlife loses its home, and they start taking shelter in things that humans own. Recently, in a similar incident, a massive King Cobra was rescued after it made its way under the bonnet of a Datsun Go hatchback. A video showing how this extremely large and dangerous snake was re-released into the wild has now been shared online.
This video of a massive King Cobra’s rescue from a Datsun Go’s bonnet has been shared on Facebook. It comes courtesy of Malnad Times. It starts with the video showing the head of a giant King Cobra staring into the camera. After this, a rescue team was called. These people are experts in catching snakes safely without hurting them.
Following the arrival of the team, they first tied a rope to the hinge of the bonnet. After this, the rope was taken to the rear of the car, and the person at the front opened the bonnet. Then the man in the rear, with the help of the rope, opened up the bonnet, and the massive King Cobra was seen sitting over the engine of the Datsun hatchback.
Next up, the person at the front, who appears to be an expert snake handler, calmly takes out the King Cobra. He first sees the snake on top of the engine, and then he helps it to stand up with his rod. The handler slowly and gradually picks up the snake with his body. After this, he takes it out of the car and shows its full size.
It can be noted that the King Cobra was not being aggressive. In the beginning, it was noted that it had its head flattened, which is a sign of them showing their aggression. However, immediately after some time, it was noted that the Cobra became calm, and its head returned to its normal size.
The snake handler then took the King Cobra and guided it to enter a bag. This particular bag was set up at the side with its opening supported by a brick. This is done so that the snake can easily enter the bag without any effort. Following this, the snake was then helped, and the bag was sealed off.
The video then also shows this particular snake being taken to a jungle. The snake handler places the bag on the ground, and the King Cobra slowly comes out and goes into its natural habitat. Following this, all the volunteers of the rescue team guide people on how to tackle any situation that involves snakes.
Now you may be wondering, why would such a massive King Cobra snake come under the bonnet of a hatchback? Well, the answer is that these reptiles are cold-blooded animals. This means that when the weather becomes cold at night during these monsoons, these animals search for warm places.
Our best guess is this particular car must have been parked at night after a drive, and its engine bay would have been warm. So this King Cobra, from underneath the engine bay, managed to find its way to the hot part of the engine. He then must have stayed inside to keep himself warm.
