Massive Python 'Rescue' From Swift Shows How A Snake Must Not Be Rescued [Video]

During the rainy season, a lot of snakes in urban areas seek shelter in cars and bikes after they are parked. These cold-blooded animals love to get near the warm engine bay, and most of the time, they are noticed by owners and then they are rescued. Generally, the snake rescue professionals ensure that they can extract the snake from the vehicle without causing any harm to people around as well as the snake. However, recently a video has been shared online in which a massive python was rescued from a Swift but was not handled properly.

This video showing the rough rescue of a massive python from a Maruti Suzuki Swift has been shared on Instagram by Kamalpreet Saini on their page. It starts off with a few men standing next to the front right fender of a white Swift with its bonnet open. We can note that one of the men had the python’s head in his left hand. Meanwhile, other men were trying to pull out the snake.

The python in this particular Swift was very thick, and it can be seen that it was stuck between the front left tyre and the fender of this hatchback. Due to this, the men that were surrounding the vehicle were trying to pull it out with all the power they had. They then eventually caught the tail of this snake and were able to stretch it out.

We can then observe that the men were told by the person holding this python’s head to pull it when he said so. However, the problem he then ran into was that he could not pass his hand through the opening from where the snake’s head was sticking out.

So, after some pulling and mishandling of the snake, a rope was tied around the snake's head and was then brought out of the vehicle. Following which the man again came to hold the head and then removed the rope. The snake was then held by a few men and was laid on the ground, and its size was shown to the public.

What happens next is that instead of directly putting the snake into a sack, the person who was holding the head of this python started showing off his teeth by pulling the lower jaw. It can also be noted that some men even put their foot on the snake's belly. Finally, after this show-off, the snake was added into a sack.

It has to be noted that the snake's head was first put in the sack, which is the wrong way to do it. When rescuing a snake, its tail and then the rest of the body are first put inside a sack, and finally, the head is put inside. Just after that, the opening of the sack is closed quickly to ensure that the snake cannot bite the person who was holding its head.

It has to be mentioned that the rescue of this particular python was difficult as it was stuck in a very tight space. Most professionals would have also struggled to rescue it. However, to make things easier for the snake as well as the rescue mission, professionals would have called in a mechanic to remove a few body panels off the vehicle. Unfortunately, this approach was not taken in this case.
