Rs 2 Crore, 420 Bhp Mercedes Gets Stuck In Slush After Overtaking Goes Wrong: Mahindra Thar Rescues
One has to be very careful when they are overtaking other vehicles on roads. We are saying this because sometimes one wrong judgement can end up in a situation where the vehicle can either get involved in a terrible accident or get stuck like this particular Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 AMG. Recently, a video has gone viral on the internet in which this Rs 2 crore Mercedes-Benz coupe SUV was seen stuck on the side of a national highway.
Mercedes-Benz stuck while trying to overtake
This particular video showing the Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 AMG’s left side stuck in a ditch has been shared on Instagram by Valsadnews on their channel. We can note that a black-colored Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 AMG coupe SUV was stuck on the side of the Valsad National Highway in Gujarat. It can be seen that the front and rear left tyres were completely inside the ditch.
Most likely, the driver of this particular Mercedes-Benz SUV was trying to overtake a vehicle from the left side. However, the driver could not overtake on time and ended up in this ditch. It can be noted in the video that the driver of this vehicle was trying to drive it out of this mud. Unfortunately, the vehicle was deeply stuck.
Mahindra Thar to the rescue
The video then shows that a Mahindra Thar three-door was called to the spot, which then helped in the rescue of this Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 AMG. We can note that a rope tied to the front bumper of the Thar was attached to the front bumper of the GLE 53 AMG, following which the Thar driver started reversing and the Mercedes-Benz driver started driving ahead.
After a light pull, the Mercedes-Benz SUV was able to come out of the ditch. We can note that the ditch was very deep and the entire left side of the vehicle was covered in thick mud. Most likely, there will be some damage to the body panels of the German SUV. However, due to the mud, nothing can be seen at the moment.

Many drivers think that overtaking is a very simple maneuver. However, in reality, smoothly overtaking on public roads is an art. The driver must have a precise judgment of speed, distance, and timing. They should also anticipate the actions of other drivers. And most importantly, one has to be very patient while overtaking and never ever overtake from left as it can cause accidents like the one above.
