Man Thanks Rs 1.8 Crore Mercedes Benz GLE53 AMG For Saving His Life [Video]

Indian roads are extremely tricky to drive on, and we have come across several incidents in the past where people have lost their loved ones in unfortunate road accidents. In other cases, the car or the vehicle takes the impact completely and saves the occupants. Here we have one such video of a car owner who thanks his Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 AMG SUV for saving his life from a major accident.

The video has been shared by Salman Shaikh on his Instagram page. The car seen here in the video is a GLE 53 AMG Coupe, and it is an expensive and powerful machine. The car was actually gifted to him by his father, and he mentions the same in his post too.

The owner doesn’t mention the exact cause behind the accident, but he states that it happened on 28 July 2025. He was driving with his friends when the accident occurred. It was around 2:20 AM, and Salman recalls it as one of the scariest moments of his life. While we do not have the exact whereabouts of the accident, it appears to have been a major crash. It seems the car was either involved in a high-speed collision or was hit by another vehicle coming in at high speed.

The car was completely destroyed in the crash. As seen in the video, it absorbed the full impact. The front end and sides are completely damaged, while the rear looks comparatively better than the rest of the vehicle.

The owner mentions that the body and chassis of the GLE 53 are completely damaged, along with the engine, interior, and alloys. The crash was so severe that the alloy wheels snapped in two. In the video, the car is being loaded onto a flatbed using a crane, as it is not in a condition to be towed.

It appears the car was totaled in the accident. He loved the car immensely not just because of its performance, but also because it was a gift from his father. The owner mentions that he managed to escape with minor injuries, while his friends were admitted to hospitals with internal injuries. Thankfully, they all survived, and he credits the car for saving their lives. The caption mentions that this is not the end and that he will come back with something stronger, bolder, and even more unforgettable.

We are not sure if he is planning to repair the car or get its value from the insurance and buy a new one. From the looks of it, we feel the car is not worth repairing at all. The Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 AMG is a powerful machine, costing around ₹1.88 crore (ex-showroom). It is powered by a 3.0-litre, inline-six-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that generates 435 bhp and 520 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission, and power is sent to all four wheels.
