Thief Steals Mercedes SUV parked Outside Rajasthan Hotel In Under 60 Seconds [Video]

Vehicle theft is a major issue in many countries, and India is no different. We see several videos on the internet where thieves are seen stealing cars within no time. There have even been cases where cars were stolen from right outside the owner’s house. Here, we have one such video from the Makrana region of Rajasthan, where a Mercedes-Benz luxury SUV was stolen from the parking lot right outside a hotel.
The video has been shared by Mr. Tyagi on his X profile. It was captured on the CCTV camera installed right outside the hotel where the theft happened. In this video, we see a person walking towards the cars parked outside the hotel. There is a Creta, and right next to it is a Mercedes-Benz SUV. It looks like an older ML-Class SUV.
The man had probably spotted the car outside the hotel earlier and ensured that it would be parked at the same spot. He came prepared with a cloth covering his face. He walked towards the Creta and squeezed himself through the gap between the vehicle and the wall. He then slowly moved towards the Mercedes-Benz and, without wasting any time, started checking out the surroundings.
When he realized that no one was watching, he began working on the car. Although cars were passing along the road, none of the drivers would have noticed the thief as he was hiding behind the vehicle.
He took out his tools and started fiddling with the door lock of the SUV. Surprisingly, the alarm of the vehicle didn’t go off even though the thief was trying to break into it. However, there was a dog on the roadside that noticed the activity and came towards the vehicle.
The dog sensed danger and started barking. However, no one paid attention, and the thief continued. He broke the door lock of the vehicle, and in no time, got into the car. Once inside, he managed to start the vehicle within seconds.
He slowly reversed it onto the road and drove away. It looks like the thief specifically targeted luxury cars and was well aware of the security systems in them. The whole incident was over within 60 seconds.
The video shows how quick thieves can be at doing their job. Just like cars, even they are improving their skills. To avoid having your vehicle stolen, you can do a few things to make the process more difficult and time-consuming for thieves. If they can’t break into your vehicle quickly, they usually abandon it and move on to the next one, as the chances of getting caught increase.
Installing a steering lock, gear lock, or even a brake pedal lock can buy you time. Also, installing an intruder alarm and GPS tracker in your vehicle can help you trace it in case it gets stolen.
