Speeding MG Hector Bursts Into Flames After Jumping Over Roundabout: Family Escapes Quickly [Video]
When it comes to accidents, no one can be prepared, as they can happen at any time. However, what can be done is being quick during escape. Recently, a video has gone viral online in which an overspeeding MG Hector SUV was seen driving over a roundabout and then quickly burning into flames. Thankfully, all the occupants sitting inside the SUV were able to escape from the burning car before it was too late.
Speeding MG Hector crashes into roundabout
The video showing this dangerous accident and escape has been shared on Instagram by Ajay Bahlerao on their page. As per the post, this particular CCTV footage is from a roundabout located in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. In this short clip, we can note that a black-colored MG Hector was driving at a high speed on a highway.
Soon after, we can observe that it jumps over a big speed breaker and flies off in the air. Now, as there was a massive roundabout in front, the vehicle crashes into the edge of the roundabout, and both the front airbags of this SUV get deployed. Following this, we can see that the vehicle drives on the roundabout with rear wheels in the air and then stops.
MG Hector bursts into flames
In just the next moment after stopping, the video highlights that the MG Hector burns into flames from below. It appears that the fuel lines in the front of the vehicle broke, causing it to catch fire immediately. After this, we can note that all four doors of this SUV opened up quickly, and the occupants started coming out of it.
From the rear right passenger side, a man jumps out and starts taking out two women from the left side. He then quickly rushes to the front right side and helps the driver get out of the vehicle. Additionally, a few other people escaped from the vehicle, and they then stood in front of the car watching it burn to the ground. They can be seen trying to take out some of their luggage as well.
What caused this accident?
At the moment, there are no reports which have mentioned what exactly caused the accident. However, from the video, we can note that the vehicle was already speeding before hitting the roundabout. Now, it could be possible that the brakes on this vehicle might have failed, or the driver of this particular MG Hector was negligent and overspeeding without paying attention to the road.
However, at the moment, nothing can be said with certainty. The only thing we know is that all passengers managed to escape the burning car in time. Most likely, the fire continued on the vehicle for a while, and had the occupants not escaped, it could have turned fatal.
