As per reports available online, Sonu Sood’s wife, Sonali Sood, was in an MG Windsor EV on the Mumbai-Nagpur highway. She was accompanied by her sister and nephew. It is unclear whether Sonali was behind the wheel when the accident occurred.
The car crashed into a truck on the highway, though the exact cause of the accident remains unknown. It is unclear whether the Windsor EV was being driven at high speed or if the truck driver suddenly applied the brakes, giving the Windsor EV driver no time to stop, resulting in the collision.
A video of the Windsor EV involved in the crash has surfaced online, and it appears that the electric car managed to absorb the impact quite well. As mentioned earlier, the Windsor EV rear-ended a truck on the highway, yet for a car involved in such a collision, it remains in relatively good shape.
Notably, only the front bumper, bonnet, and headlamps of the EV are damaged. The pillars remain intact, which likely contributed to the safety of the occupants. The Windsor EV comes with six airbags, which are extremely useful in such situations. As seen in the video, the airbags deployed on time. The way the EV handled the impact is impressive and is something that many potential buyers of the Windsor EV would be glad to see.
After the accident, actor Sonu Sood told the media, “She’s doing fine now. Had a miraculous escape. Om Sai Ram.” According to reports available online, Sonali Sood and her nephew sustained minor injuries, while Sonali’s sister escaped unhurt. Both injured individuals received treatment at a hospital. The actor, who was likely away for work, visited Sonali at the hospital upon learning about the accident.

The Windsor EV is one of MG’s latest products in the Indian market. Launched last year, it received an overwhelming response from buyers. The Windsor EV is marketed as a CUV and is an extremely spacious electric car.
The Windsor EV is equipped with airline-style reclining rear seats, a large boot, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, an infinity glass roof, and more.
It is powered by a 38 kWh battery pack, which drives an electric motor generating 134 Bhp and 200 Nm of peak torque. The Windsor EV currently has a claimed driving range of 332 km. There are reports that MG is planning to introduce a 50 kWh battery version of the Windsor EV, which will offer a longer driving range.
