Electric vehicle owners and their reviews and experiences have been shared on our website on several occasions. In most cases, people who buy EVs were using either petrol or diesel cars before. Many of them are still getting used to the change. Here we have a video where an individual sold his MG Windsor EV and bought a Windsor EV Pro. Why did he do so? Let’s check out the video and find out.

The video has been shared by Sachinn Rose on his YouTube channel. The vlogger speaks to the owner of the MG Windsor EV Pro. The owner is from the Delhi NCR region and he mentions that he was actually a Windsor EV owner before this. He doesn’t speak about the car that he used to own before switching to EVs.

He mentions that his experience with the regular Windsor EV was great and he never faced any issues with it. He had bought the car in April this year and within a couple of months, he drove it for over 16,000 km.

He mentions that for work purposes, he drives around 200-300 km every day and once he started driving EVs, he started enjoying the experience as he could feel that he was saving ₹2,000-3,000 every day that he would have otherwise spent on fuel.

When he went to buy the Windsor EV, he had asked the staff whether the EV was due for an update soon. The staff told him that the EV would not be getting any updates anytime soon but, sadly, 10-20 days after he bought the Windsor EV, MG launched the Pro version. The customer was happy with the regular Windsor, but when he realised that he was getting more features for just a couple of lakhs extra, he was tempted to buy the Pro variant.

In the Pro version, MG is offering an electric tailgate, Level 2 ADAS, new alloy wheels, light-coloured interiors and most importantly, a bigger battery pack. The customer mentions that he used to get around 300 km if driven carefully, but he always had range anxiety because the regular Windsor used to come with a 38 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 332 km. The Windsor EV Pro comes with a 52.9 kWh battery pack which has a claimed driving range of 449 km, and the owner in the video claims that he has been getting around 400+ km.

When he saw the prices and features, he sold his Windsor EV and bought the top-end Pro version, paying slightly above ₹18 lakh on-road. The owner also mentions that he has not used the Sport mode yet as he usually drives in Eco+ mode. He also talks about techniques to get the best range out of the vehicle.

While he likes the fact that there is no start/stop button in the car, he is not very happy with the ride. He mentions that it is slightly on the stiffer side and in his older car, he had to get the suspension tuned at the service centre every time he visited, as it had started making some noise.
