MG Windsor Pro Owner Explains Why He Sold His Tata Nexon EV In Just 8 Months [Video]

The MG Windsor Pro is currently one of the hottest electric vehicles in India. MG launched this vehicle with an introductory pricing of Rs 17.49 lakh, and it was only limited to the first 8,000 buyers. Recently, one of those 8,000 buyers has shared a detailed ownership review of his newly bought MG Windsor Pro. In the video, he explains why he sold his Tata Nexon.ev in just 8 months and bought the MG electric vehicle instead.
This review video of the new MG Windsor Pro has been shared on YouTube by EV Gyan on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger introducing the owner of this particular MG Windsor Pro. The host first starts by asking the owner about the date of purchase and the price of the MG Windsor Pro.
To this, he mentions that he bought it on 18th May and paid Rs 18.40 lakh on-road. The owner highlighted that he booked this vehicle on the day it was launched, which made him one of the first 8,000 buyers to get the vehicle at the introductory pricing of Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Currently, the price has been hiked to Rs 18.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
During the conversation, when the vlogger asked if the Windsor Pro was his first EV, the owner replied that prior to this, he bought himself a Tata Nexon EV 30 kWh battery pack variant. He then elaborated that it was sold just after 8 months. The owner stated that, by mistake, he bought the 30 kWh battery pack model, which only gave him a range of 275 km in the city, which was enough.
However, after noting the highway range and the falling prices of Tata electric cars, the owner decided to part ways with it. He then bought himself a Hyundai i20 automatic. But when he saw the MG Windsor Pro, he immediately bought it. He added that he also looked at the Tata Curvv.ev but did not want to deal with poor service from Tata Motors, so he rejected that and bought the MG Windsor Pro instead.
The owner of the Windsor Pro highlighted that he has only driven the vehicle over 600 km. However, he added that the experience so far has been amazing, and he does not have any major complaints from the vehicle. He added that the overall fit and finish and the materials used inside the cabin are very premium.
Apart from this, he added that the white seats help in keeping the cabin slightly cooler. For those who may not be aware, the standard Windsor EV comes with an all-black interior. The owner also added that the vehicle is feature-loaded.
The only complaint which he has is that the massive 15.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre lags a bit after starting up the vehicle after some time. However, it is a very minor niggle which is not very bothering. The owner added that the range he is getting is around 400 km, which is sufficient as he only drives 50 km a day.
