Renault Triber Crushed Between Truck And Mahindra Bolero Pickup, Passengers Escape Unhurt

No matter how safely you drive on the Indian roads, you can never be 100 percent safe from accidents. Sometimes, you may just be at the wrong spot at the wrong time. As a result, you may get involved in a terrible accident. Recently, a video has become viral on the internet in which a Renault Triber MPV got crushed between a Mahindra Bolero pickup truck and a tanker carrying fuel. Thankfully, by some miracle, all the people sitting inside this particular Triber were alive.
This video of a Renault Triber getting crushed by trucks yet keeping its occupants alive has been shared on YouTube. In this short video, we can note that there was a swarm of the public which surrounded the vehicles involved on a single-lane road. We can note that a silver-colored Renault Triber MPV was completely between a Mahindra Bolero pickup truck and a fuel tanker.
What was extremely surprising about this incident was that the occupants of this particular Triber, despite being crushed, were safe and alive. It can be seen that the people who were present near the spot of the accident gathered around the vehicle to rescue the people stuck inside the vehicle.
The video shows that there was a driver and a rear-right passenger who were stuck under the crushed roof and rear end. They were unable to get out of the vehicle on their own, and because of this, people gathered around and started to pull back the destroyed doors. They were able to peel back the door frames, making space for these occupants to come out.
We can note that first, the rear-right seat occupant came out of the vehicle and was visibly shaking from the trauma of the accident. Apart from him, the driver was seen with his head locked in a tilted position. At the moment, it is unknown if there were more people inside this Triber or not. In the short clip, it can also be seen that there were occupants in the Mahindra Bolero pickup in the front as well.
Presently, there is only the aftermath video of this accident. However, our guess is that the Mahindra Bolero pickup driving in the front had suddenly applied brakes. As a result, the Renault Triber driver might not have had time to fully stop and control the vehicle. Because of this chain reaction, the truck driver from the rear might have crashed into the Triber at high speed, causing it to push the Triber into the Bolero pickup.
The Renault Triber is one of the most affordable seven-seater MPVs in India. Back when it was tested by the Global NCAP crash tests, it managed to score a 4-star safety rating. The MPV scored 11.62 points out of 17 for adult occupant safety, which translates to 4 stars. For child occupant safety, it got 27 points out of 49 points, which translates to 3 stars. The crash test was conducted at a speed of 64 kmph.
In this particular case, the structural integrity of the vehicle helped the occupants to remain alive. However, it also has to be mentioned that sometimes people are just lucky, and they get saved due to various other factors. The only relieving part about this particular incident is that everyone was safe.
