India’s Only Modified Maruti 800 With Cambered Wheels: This is it [Video]

We all know that any type of modification is considered illegal in India. However, that has not stopped people from showing off their skills and passion for cars. We still see a decent number of modified cars on the road. Some of them are loud, while others choose to do subtle customizations. Most people who modify their cars love these builds, and it is often considered a reflection of the owner’s taste. Here we have a video where a Maruti 800 has been modified by the owner and his friends at home.
The video has been shared by Prejimon Pradeep on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger talks to the owner of the Maruti 800 about the modifications. The owner mentions that he has been doing this for some years now. Before this, he used to own another Maruti 800 which he modified and later sold.
He always had a soft corner for the Maruti 800, and that is one of the reasons why he bought a Maruti 800 again. He bought a used car for this purpose and decided what type of work he wanted to do with it for some time. He, along with his friend who runs a workshop, worked on this car themselves.
They drew a sketch and came up with a plan to execute the idea. He mentions that they initially only planned to change the color of the car, but one thing led to another, and they ended up having too many ideas and executed them one after the other. The owner mentions that he, along with his friend, worked on the negative camber seen on this car.
The car was initially running on stock steel rims. Once they figured out a way to do the negative camber properly, they upgraded the wheels to go with the overall look of the car. The engine on this car was completely stripped down and rebuilt. The engine bay was repainted in a shade of yellow.
The car now has lowering springs, which, along with the cambered wheels, make the car extremely low. The stock exhaust had to be removed and rerouted out of the bonnet. The front grille and bonnet of the Maruti 800 have been upgraded. This is the Type 1 Maruti 800, and it gets the bonnet and headlights from an updated version.
The whole car has been repainted in a shade of pink, and it also gets graphics on the side, which his friend designed. The interior of the car has also been customized. It gets Sparco seats, and the rear seats have been removed. The owner mentions that they plan to install a roll cage inside.
It is not the most practical-looking modification, and the owner says this while he is driving the car. Due to the negative camber, only one part of the tires is getting wear and tear.
This also puts a lot of pressure on the parts, and the chances of the car breaking down are pretty high. It is a good project car, and we appreciate the fact that the owner and his friends built this at home. However, it is not the most beautiful-looking 800 in the country.
