The Tata Safari has always had a cult-like following in the country. There are a number of reasons behind its popularity, and because of this, people have been owning and modifying its different iterations to make them look unique. Recently, we came across a current-generation Safari that has been modified like no other Safari on the road today. This particular Safari has been given massive all-terrain tyres, making it look extremely distinct.

Crazy Current-Generation Tata Safari

This video, showing the Tata Safari with massive aftermarket alloy wheels and tyres, has been shared on Instagram by Anudeep 8989 on their page. The owner of this particular Safari has shared a number of different reels showing his uniquely modified Safari. The main highlight of this SUV includes a set of five-spoke aftermarket alloy wheels and massive all-terrain tyres.

We can note that these tyres are extremely wide and stick out of the wheel well of this SUV. Additionally, an air scoop has been added to the bonnet of this SUV. It also gets an antenna on the left side of the bonnet and a racing team decal on the front doors, which gives it a rally-inspired appearance. Overall, this particular Safari looks like no other new-generation Safari.

Car Modifications Express a Man’s Personality

To many non-automotive enthusiasts, spending money on modifying a vehicle might seem like a waste of money. However, to a lot of people, modifying their vehicle is a way for them to express their personality on public roads. Enthusiasts often add parts that are unique and give their vehicle a look that no other vehicle on the road has.

Currently, in India, car modifications are illegal—especially tyres protruding from the wheel well, which is something that gets scrutinized by the authorities a lot. If caught, the vehicle can be seized as well. However, people like this Safari owner still add such modifications because of their love for cars.

The Tata Safari was launched in 1998 and was one of the first homegrown SUVs that looked and felt like a global product. Its stance, wide body, and classic SUV proportions gave it an authoritative look. What made it even more popular in India was its appearance in a few movies, as well as it being the preferred SUV of many actors and politicians. Even though today the Safari is no longer a ladder-on-frame chassis SUV, it is still loved by many.
