Multicrore Bentley Continental GT Abandoned: Owner Also Owns Rolls Royce, Lamborghini

If you are an automotive enthusiast, seeing any car abandoned will hurt you. However, if you were to see a multi-crore Bentley left to rot outside, it would hurt you even more. Unfortunately, this is exactly what we came across on the internet. There are a few pictures that have been shared online in which a Bentley Continental GT coupe can be seen parked in the open under a flyover. What’s even more surprising is that the owner of this particular car also owns a number of other high-end cars like Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini, and others.
These pictures showing a Bentley Continental GT in a poor state have been shared on Instagram. They come courtesy of Auto Luxury India. In these images, we can note that a deep blue and gold dual-tone painted Bentley Continental GT is parked underneath a flyover. We can also see that it has not been covered and has been collecting dust.
Upon closer look, it can be observed that this particular Bentley has also lost its headlight washer covers at the front. Also, there is some minor damage on the front left portion of the car on the bumper. Most likely, it was left by the owner of the car in this condition.
Now, you may be wondering who actually owns this particular Bentley Continental GT. Well, according to the comments, this vehicle is owned by the popular Malayalam movie producer Joby George. However, upon further research, we have found that this vehicle is not owned by him. Rather, it is now owned by someone else.
As for Joby George, many people have indicated that it was originally owned by him. Apart from this Bentley Continental GT, he also owns a ton of other high-end cars as well. The list of his current cars includes Rolls-Royce, Range Rover Autobiography LWB, Lamborghini Urus, and a Lexus RX luxury SUV.
This particular Bentley Continental GT is the first-generation model. A number of popular celebrities, including Virat Kohli, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Yuvraj Singh, and others, have owned this generation of the Bentley. It came powered by a massive 6.0-litre W12 engine.
It was capable of generating 552 bhp and 650 Nm of peak torque. The engine came mated to an automatic transmission, and the power was sent to all four wheels. Back in 2004, when this Continental GT was launched, this 2-door 4-seater sports coupe was priced at Rs. 3.3 crore ex-showroom. Today, these are selling for 15–25 percent of their original values in the used car market.
This is not the first time that we have seen a high-end car left outside abandoned. Just a few days ago, we came across a video in which we saw a Jaguar XJ-L Portfolio variant parked in an open parking lot in Pune. This vehicle was seen with its front bumper detached and some other damages. The exact story as to why it has been abandoned has not been revealed.
Apart from this, a while ago, another post on social media became viral. In this post, we saw a Rolls-Royce Phantom abandoned. This particular Phantom had a broken air suspension, broken windshield, and a few other damages. It once used to belong to the chairman of the Rose Valley group of companies, Gautam Kundu.
He was then arrested for defrauding investors of approximately Rs. 17,000 crores across various states in India. The scam involved duping unsuspecting investors through fake and fictitious investment schemes. The company primarily targeted rural areas.
