Rajnikanth’s Coolie Movie Music Director Anirudh Ravichander Buys A Mahindra BE6 [Video]
Mahindra electric SUVs are popular among celebrities in India, and we have seen several celebrities actually buying these futuristic-looking machines. They are different from any EVs available in the Indian market. While the XEV 9E is for those who want an electric SUV for the family, if you are a young buyer, we feel the BE6 is going to appeal to you more. Young and talented music director from the Tamil movie industry, Anirudh, is the latest celebrity to add a Mahindra EV to his collection. He was recently spotted with the SUV.
The video has been shared by various social media users on multiple platforms. In all the videos, we see Anirudh Ravichander either walking out of or driving away in his BE6 electric SUV. Anirudh is one of the most sought-after music directors from the Tamil film industry. Many trending songs that you listen to on social media and playlists are composed by him. His latest work was for Rajinikanth’s recent movie Coolie.
The red colour actually looks good on the electric SUV. He bought the top-end Pack 3 variant of the Mahindra BE6, which means it comes with all kinds of bells and whistles. The Mahindra BE6 is currently one of the most powerful electric SUVs in its segment. It was launched in the market last year, and official deliveries commenced this year. The BE6 gets a design that many young buyers may find attractive.
The top-end variant is packed with premium features like active air vents, 20-inch wheels, drop-down LED DRLs, connected LED tail lamps with welcome function, illuminated BE logo on the steering wheel, electrically adjustable seats with memory function, Level 2 ADAS, automatic wipers and headlamps, HUD, Harman Kardon speaker system, large touchscreen infotainment system, fully digital instrument cluster, and more.
The Mahindra BE6 is available with two battery pack options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh. The smaller battery pack offers a claimed driving range of 535 km, while the larger one provides up to 682 km.
Mahindra started deliveries of the Pack 3 versions of the BE6 and XEV 9E first, and only recently began delivering the Pack 2 versions of both SUVs. Mahindra also launched an exclusive Batman Edition of the BE6 limited to 999 units. All these SUVs were sold out in just 135 seconds.
The smaller battery version generates 228 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque, while the 79 kWh version generates 282 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. The price for a brand-new Mahindra BE6 starts at Rs 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
Anirudh Ravichander is not the only celebrity who found Mahindra’s electric SUVs attractive. Many Bollywood celebrities and businessmen have also bought these SUVs.
Actor, dancer, and host Jaaved Jaaferi, director and actor Anurag Kashyap, and actress Akanksha Singh bought the XEV 9E. In fact, Anirudh is not the only music director from the South who owns a Mahindra electric SUV.
Before him, A. R. Rahman, who was actually part of Mahindra’s team in developing the sound design for these SUVs, had bought the XEV 9E. He was so impressed that he mentioned in one of his videos that he had booked one for himself even before the deliveries began.
