Brand-New Tata Curvv Gets Aftermarket CNG Conversion

The cost of petrol and diesel is going up rapidly. As a result, a lot of people are now opting for CNG vehicles. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of options for factory-fitted CNG vehicles in India. So, a number of new car buyers get their cars fitted with aftermarket CNG kits. Most recently, a video has been shared online in which a brand-new Tata Curvv coupe SUV was seen getting an aftermarket CNG kit installed.
This video of the Tata Curvv coupe SUV with a CNG kit has been shared on YouTube by Sai Fuel Vadodara on their channel. It starts off with the cameraman mentioning that this particular Tata Curvv has come from Rajkot to their shop to get fitted with a CNG kit. He then opens the door of the car, sits inside, and turns it on.
The host states that this vehicle has only done 2,159 km and is absolutely new. Following the interior, the host then opens the bonnet of this vehicle and shows the engine bay. He states that the new Tata Curvv comes equipped with the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine as the Nexon.
This particular motor is capable of producing 118 bhp and 170 Nm of torque. Moving on, he adds that they will be adding the CNG tank in the boot, where there is a lot of space. Also, the CNG filling nozzle will be placed next to the fuel filler cavity.
Sai Fuel Vadodara has added another video on their channel, and in this video, they have shown the same vehicle after the installation of the CNG kit. The vlogger in this video starts by stating that they have completed the installation of the CNG kit in this vehicle and that they are test-driving it and programming the ECU to make sure it runs smoothly.
Following this, he sits inside the vehicle and states that it is a manual transmission variant and comes with three driving modes—Eco, City, and Sport. He then highlights that the CNG kit they have installed is compatible with these modes and that they work as intended. After this, the vlogger shows the location of the CNG button, which indicates how much CNG is left in the tank.
It has been placed right in front, where the driver’s leg rests. After this, the host opens the bonnet of this Tata Curvv and shows the CNG reducer on the rear right end. He also adds that the CNG rails have been placed behind the air filter cover, and lastly, the CNG ECU has been added on the right side of the reducer.
Finally, he shows the CNG tank, which has been placed in the boot of this coupe SUV. He states that it is a 12 kg cylinder that has been fitted after adding custom-fabricated brackets. The host adds that despite the fitment of the CNG tank, it still gets ample space. He concludes the video by showing the placement of the CNG filling nozzle, which is placed right next to the petrol nozzle.
The cameraman then starts driving this CNG kit-fitted Tata Curvv coupe SUV on the highway for testing. He mentions that it feels like the standard car and even performs flawlessly on the highway at high speeds. As for the exact mileage figures after the fitment of this CNG kit, they have not been revealed in the video.
