Olympic Champion Neeraj Chopra's Latest Car Is An Audi RS Q8 That Makes 640 Bhp

Olympian Neeraj Chopra is now a personality that most Indians know. The 2024 Paris Olympics silver medalist has won the hearts of many with his performance, and we have done several stories in the past where we have mentioned his humble background. Well, Neeraj Chopra recently became the brand ambassador for Audi India, and his latest car is an Audi RS Q8 Performance.

The sports personality shared the news via his X profile online. Neeraj posted a photo of himself standing next to an Audi RS Q8 luxury performance SUV with the caption, “Just like most other kids, I always had a fascination for cars. But I never even dreamt that a moment like this could come true. Glad to be part of the @AudiIN family! ?”

In the image, we see Neeraj Chopra wearing a red Audi T-shirt while standing next to a sporty-looking Audi RS Q8 SUV. The Audi RS Q8 is currently the most powerful ICE road car from Audi.

The Audi RS Q8 Performance is actually a much more powerful and sportier version of the regular Q8 SUV. Both these SUVs look similar, with minor cosmetic changes to the Performance version. For example, the RS Q8 gets a honeycomb grille finished in black, larger air intakes on the front bumper, and so on. Audi is also offering LED Matrix technology for the headlamps, and some of the elements are made from carbon fibre.

The wing mirrors are carbon fibre, and the wheels are 23-inch units that come with customisation options. Not just the wheels, the rear OLED tail lamps can also be customised, with C-shaped air outlets right below. Just like the front, we also see a honeycomb pattern on the rear bumper, and it also gets sporty exhaust tips. The bumper of the car gets an aggressive and sporty design too.

Apart from the exterior, the interior of the Audi RS Q8 looks sporty and comes with a cabin theme that complements the exterior look. The Audi RS Q8 gets premium features like a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, round steering wheel, large touchscreen infotainment screen, leather and Alcantara seats, 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, 4-zone climate control, individually adjustable and reclinable rear seats, panoramic sunroof, and so on.

Coming to the engine and transmission, the Audi RS Q8 gets a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that generates 640 PS and 850 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 48 V mild-hybrid system, which helps the SUV achieve 0–100 kmph in just 3.6 seconds. This luxury SUV has a top speed of 305 kmph.

All-wheel steering, active roll stabilisation, adaptive air suspension, and a new Quattro sport differential are some of the other features that the RS Q8 comes with. It is currently the quickest production SUV around the Nürburgring.

The price for a brand-new Audi RS Q8 Performance is Rs 2.50 crore (ex-showroom), without customisations. It competes with the likes of the Porsche Cayenne GTS and Lamborghini Urus SE.
