Bollywood Actor Pankaj Tripathi Explains How He Ended Up Buying Hyundai i10 As 1st Car [Video]

Hyundai recently joined hands with one of the popular actors of Bollywood, Pankaj Tripathi. He isn’t actually replacing any actor but joins the existing ambassadors Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Hyundai has now released a new TVC featuring actor Pankaj Tripathi, in which he is seen talking about the first car that he ever owned — a red-coloured Hyundai i10.

The video has been shared by Hyundai India on their YouTube channel and is titled India Stories. In this video, actor Pankaj Tripathi shares his story as an actor and also how he ended up buying a car for himself.

He starts by talking about his struggles in the industry and how he became the actor he is today. He mentions that he came to Mumbai back in 2004 and auditioned for several roles for many years. In 2009, he went for an audition where he was asked whether he knew how to drive a car.

Pankaj Tripathi was so desperate that he decided to say yes to the question, although he had not driven a car till that date. After completing the audition, Pankaj Tripathi came out and realised that if he managed to get the role, it should not slip away just because he didn’t know how to drive.

He soon joined a driving school in his area, and just as he was about to finish the course, he got a call from the same team who had taken the audition. They told him that he had got the role. He was really happy and then told them that he was currently in the middle of something and cut the call.

He then asked his instructor how his driving was, and the instructor told him that he was doing well, but in order to get better, it was necessary to drive a car on a regular basis. This way, the hesitation and fear that many people have while driving on the road would go away and would also help improve his skills.

Pankaj Tripathi listened to the instructor and soon, along with his family, went to a nearby Hyundai dealership. His daughter liked the red colour and wanted to buy that car. He was not sure about it, but then he got another call for a role in another movie.

He thought of it as a sign and considered that the red car was lucky for them. He bought the car and has kept it with him ever since. The car is now over 16 years old, and he has renewed the papers for it. The actor then talks about how his life has changed since then. Over the years, he has bought more cars, but the Hyundai i10 has remained in his collection. From owning a Hyundai, he has now become the brand ambassador of the same brand.

Apart from this, Pankaj Tripathi also owns several other cars like the Tata Nexon EV, Toyota Fortuner, and a Mercedes-Benz.
