Superbike owners in india often swap their stock exhausts with expensive aftermarket units for improved performance and the sheer auditory drama they put up. These can sometimes be too loud for the public. Many a time, such bikers are nabbed by the cops, who then take these off and impose fines on the owners. In a recent incident, a superbike owner who had loud aftermarket exhausts on his motorcycle was busted by the cops. Instead of imposing fines, the officer made him listen to the exhaust sound of his own bike. A video of the incident was shared online, which has sparked discussions among netizens.

The video shows a superbike rider being stopped and questioned by the police. The vehicle in question is a Kawasaki Ninja ZX 10R. It has been fitted with an aftermarket exhaust unit, which is quite loud.

The cops question the rider asking why he has done the modification. They then ask him to come to the rear of the motorcycle and listen to the loud exhaust sound as they rev the engine. The policemen make the rider do it, constantly rebuking him and finally seize the motorcycle.

Netizens React To The Video

The video has triggered mixed responses among netizens. Some of them think that the cops are overreacting, and opine that they should be addressing more serious issues. They say that cops should control and curb more serious crimes than nab superbike owners.

Some users also found the revving sound interesting, and commented the same. 'Rev it more harder nice sound'- said a user. One of the users had a valid question to raise: 'If that's illegal then y don't they just ban the sale of these exhausts ?'

There are, however, a lot of comments that are against the biker. This crowd wants the cops to take actions against more such bikers. Wondering why these people are so annoyed with bikers with aftermarket exhausts?

Well, unlike superbikers opting for performance exhausts, there are motorcycle owners who retrofit their rides with loud aftermarket exhausts just to have some audio-drama and all those attention-grabbing pops and crackles. These are often too loud and cause noise pollution.

A comment on the post cites an example. It reads "There are bikers who have fitted loud 'bomb-like' exhausts on their Royal Enfield motorcycles and cause noise pollution in Rajrai road, Agra, and Shamshabad road. Please take proper action against them"
