Former CM's Ayudha Pooja For Beloved 51-Year Old Ambassador Car Goes Viral [Video]

Ayudha Pooja is one of the most important processions in Hinduism, and a lot of people across the country perform it on the ninth day of Navratri. On this day, traditionally, weapons and instruments were honored. However, now people honor tools, vehicles, books, and machines, and recently, former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa was also seen doing the same. The ex-CM was seen paying respects to his beloved Hindustan Ambassador car and others in front of his residence. This car's a 1974 model, with a number plate that's considered to be special.
The video showing former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa performing Ayudha Pooja for his vehicles has been shared on Kannadamediumnews on their page. In this short clip, BY Raghavendra, who is the son of BS Yediyurappa and a Member of the Lok Sabha, was seen guiding his father to their family's Hindustan Ambassador sedan.
This white-colored sedan was decorated with a garland and was parked ahead of a Toyota Innova Crysta, Fortuner Legender, and an Innova Hycross. BY Raghavendra was seen completing the Ayudha Pooja procession with a coconut in his hand, which had burning camphor on it.
Following this, some incense sticks were lit. Finally, a few drops of water were sprinkled on this sedan, after which BS Yediyurappa and his son BY Raghavendra both posed beside the Ambassador.
The Hindustan Ambassador seen in the video is not a relic that just stays parked at BS Yediyurappa’s home. Rather, he is regularly seen being driven around in his Ambassador with his security convoy. The former Karnataka CM's Ambassador also has its original number plate, “CKR 45.”
What's interesting about this particular Ambassador is that it has been under the ownership of BS Yediyurappa for decades now. He uses this sedan for going to the election commission’s office for filing his papers for the elections, and he has been doing the same for many years. According to his belief, it is lucky for him.
There are a number of politicians who have owned a Hindustan Ambassador over the years. This particular sedan was the preferred choice of Members of Parliament and the Legislative Assembly. The Ambassador was offered with both 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines.
Every year, one of India's richest MLAs, MTB Nagaraj, celebrates Ayudha Pooja in a grand manner. His collection of cars is displayed in front of his mansion, and the Ayudha Pooja is performed. MTB Nagaraj’s collection includes a Rs 10 crore Rolls Royce Phantom luxury sedan.
He is the only politician in India to own a Phantom VIII. It is finished in the classy shade of white and comes powered by a 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 petrol engine, which produces 563 bhp of maximum power and 900 Nm of torque. His collection also includes a Range Rover Autobiography, Land Rover Defender, Ferrari F8 Tributo, BMW XM, and many others.
Another one of the most popular car collectors who performs Ayudha Pooja is Boopesh Reddy, who is a business tycoon from Bengaluru. He owns one of the most insane and expensive car collections in India, comprising multiple Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, Aston Martins, Mercedes-Benz, Minis, and others.
